He will set fire to the temples of the gods of Egypt; he will burn their temples and take their gods captive. As a shepherd picks his garment clean of lice, so he will pick Egypt clean and depart.

He will set the temples of the gods of Egypt on fire. He will burn down their temples. He will take away the statues of their gods. Nebuchadnezzar will be like a shepherd who picks his coat clean of lice. Nebuchadnezzar will pick Egypt clean and then depart.

I shall kindle a fire in the temples of the gods of Egypt, and he shall burn them and carry them away captive. And he shall clean the land of Egypt as a shepherd cleans his cloak of vermin, and he shall go away from there in peace.

He will set fire to the temples of Egypt’s gods; he will burn the temples and carry the idols away as plunder. He will pick clean the land of Egypt as a shepherd picks fleas from his cloak. And he himself will leave unharmed.

萬軍之耶和華以色列的神說：“看哪！我必懲罰挪的亞捫神、法老和那些倚靠法老的人。

主耶和華這樣說：“‘我必毀滅偶像，使虛無的神像從挪弗滅絕。必不再有君王從埃及地而出；我也必使懼怕臨到埃及地。

因為在那一夜我要走遍埃及地，把埃及地所有頭生的，無論是人或是牲畜，都要殺掉；我也要審判埃及的一切神祇，我是耶和華。

關於埃及的默示：看哪！耶和華駕著輕快的雲，來到埃及；埃及的偶像在他面前戰兢，埃及人的心都驚怕。

他以咒詛當作衣服穿上，咒詛就像水一般進入他的內臟，像油一樣進入他的骨頭。願這咒詛像衣服一般給他披上，並當作他常常束上的腰帶。

你舉目向四周觀看吧！他們都集合到你那裡來。耶和華說：“我指著我的永生起誓，你要披戴他們，如同披戴裝飾品；你要以他們作華帶束腰，像新婦一樣。

你披上亮光好像披上外袍；展開諸天好像鋪張帳幔。

你因為倚靠你的成就和財富，就必被攻取；基抹必被擄去，事奉它的祭司和領袖都必一同被擄去。

我要使祭司都披上救恩，使聖民都大大歡呼。

彼勒俯伏，尼波彎腰；巴比倫人的偶像馱在走獸和牲口上。你們所抬的現在都成了重擔，成了疲乏的牲畜身上的重負。

在這一切之上，還要有愛心，愛心是聯繫全德的。

你當以莊嚴與尊貴為裝飾，以尊榮與威嚴為衣服。

並且穿上新人。這新人是照著神的形象，在公義和真實的聖潔裡創造的。

錫安哪！你要醒來；醒來，披上你的力量。聖城耶路撒冷啊！要穿上你華美的衣服。因為未受割禮的和不潔淨的人，都再不得進到你那裡去。

要穿戴神所賜的全副軍裝，使你們能抵擋魔鬼的詭計。

我因耶和華大大歡喜，我的心靠著我的神快樂，因為他給我穿上救恩的衣服，給我披上公義的外袍，好像新郎戴上華冠，又像新娘佩戴裝飾。

我要使他的仇敵都披上羞辱，但他的冠冕必在他頭上發光。”

看哪！有一隊騎兵來了，馬兵一對一對而來。”又有人答話說：“傾倒了，巴比倫傾倒了！它所有雕刻的神像都被打碎在地上了。”

“你們要在列國中傳揚和宣告，要豎起旗幟宣揚，不可隱瞞，說：‘巴比倫被攻取了！彼勒蒙羞，米羅達驚慌；巴比倫的神像都蒙羞，它的偶像都驚慌。’

把朝服和駿馬交給王最尊貴的一個大臣手裡，把衣服給王喜歡賜尊榮的人穿上，使他騎在馬上，走過城中的街上，又要有人在他前面宣告：‘王喜歡賜尊榮的人，要這樣待他。’”

黑夜已深，白晝近了，所以我們要除掉暗昧的行為，帶上光明的武器。

那時，外人要服事你們，牧放你們的羊群，外族人要作你們的農夫和葡萄園丁。

對於他們，耶和華是可畏懼的，因為他要消滅地上一切神祇；那時，列國海島上的居民，都各在自己的地方敬拜他。

所以，你們既然是神所揀選的，是聖潔、蒙愛的人，就要存憐憫的心腸、恩慈、謙卑、溫柔和忍耐。

他穿上公義的鎧甲，戴上救恩的頭盔，穿上復仇的衣服，披上熱心作外袍。

我必懲罰巴比倫的彼勒，使它從口中吐出它所吞噬的；列國必不再歸附它，巴比倫的城牆也倒塌了。

非利士人把他們的神像遺棄在那裡，大衛和跟隨他的人就把它們拿走了。
