He will set fire to the temples of the gods of Egypt; he will burn their temples and take their gods captive. As a shepherd picks his garment clean of lice, so he will pick Egypt clean and depart.

He will set the temples of the gods of Egypt on fire. He will burn down their temples. He will take away the statues of their gods. Nebuchadnezzar will be like a shepherd who picks his coat clean of lice. Nebuchadnezzar will pick Egypt clean and then depart.

I shall kindle a fire in the temples of the gods of Egypt, and he shall burn them and carry them away captive. And he shall clean the land of Egypt as a shepherd cleans his cloak of vermin, and he shall go away from there in peace.

He will set fire to the temples of Egypt’s gods; he will burn the temples and carry the idols away as plunder. He will pick clean the land of Egypt as a shepherd picks fleas from his cloak. And he himself will leave unharmed.

萬軍之耶和華－以色列的神說：「看哪，我要懲罰挪的亞捫和法老、埃及和它的神明，以及君王，也要懲罰法老和倚靠他的人。

「主耶和華如此說：我要毀滅偶像，從挪弗除掉神像；不再有君王出自埃及地，我要使埃及地的人懼怕。

因為那夜我要走遍埃及地，把埃及地一切頭生的，無論是人是牲畜，都擊殺了；我要對埃及所有的神明施行審判。我是耶和華。

論埃及的默示。看哪，耶和華乘駕快雲，臨到埃及；埃及的偶像在他面前戰兢，埃及人的心在裏面消溶。

他拿咒罵當衣服穿上；這咒罵就如水進到他裏面，如油進入他骨頭。願這咒罵當他遮身的衣服，作他經常束腰的帶子！

你舉目向四圍觀看，他們都聚集來到你這裏。我指着我的永生起誓，你定要以他們為妝飾佩戴，帶着他們，像新娘一樣。這是耶和華說的。

披上亮光，如披外袍，鋪張穹蒼，如鋪幔子，

你因倚靠自己所做的和自己的財寶，必被攻取。基抹和屬它的祭司、官長也要一同被擄去。

我要使祭司披上救恩，聖民就要大聲歡呼！

彼勒叩拜，尼波屈身；巴比倫的偶像馱在走獸和牲畜背上。你們所抬的成了重馱，使牲畜疲乏。

除此以外，還要穿上愛心，因為愛是貫通全德的。

「你要以榮耀莊嚴為妝飾，以尊榮威嚴為衣服。

並且穿上新我；這新我是照着神的形像造的，有從真理來的公義和聖潔。

錫安哪，興起！興起！穿上你的能力！聖城耶路撒冷啊，穿上你華美的衣服！因為從今以後，未受割禮、不潔淨的必不再進入你中間。

要穿戴神所賜的全副軍裝，好抵擋魔鬼的詭計。

我因耶和華大大歡喜，我的心因神喜樂；因他以拯救為衣給我穿上，以公義為外袍給我披上，好像新郎戴上華冠，又如新娘佩戴首飾。

我要使他的仇敵披上羞恥；但他的冠冕要在他頭上發光。」

看哪，有一對一對騎着馬的軍隊前來。他就回應說：「巴比倫傾倒了！傾倒了！他把巴比倫神明的一切雕刻偶像都打碎在地上了。」

你們要在萬國中傳揚，宣告，豎立大旗；要宣告，不可隱瞞，說：「巴比倫被攻取，彼勒蒙羞，米羅達驚惶。巴比倫的神像都蒙羞，它的偶像都驚惶。」

把王袍和御馬都交給王一個極尊貴的大臣，吩咐人把王袍給王所喜愛要賜尊榮的人穿上，領他騎着御馬走遍城裏的廣場，在他面前宣告：『王所喜愛要賜尊榮的人，就是這樣待他。』」

黑夜已深，白晝將近。所以我們該除去暗昧的行為，帶上光明的兵器。

那時，陌生人要伺候、牧放你們的羊羣；外邦人必為你們耕種田地，修整你們的葡萄園。

耶和華必向他們顯為可畏，因他使地上的眾神衰微；列國的海島各在自己的地方敬拜他。

所以，你們既是神的選民，聖潔、蒙愛的人，要穿上憐憫、恩慈、謙虛、溫柔和忍耐。

他穿上公義為鎧甲，戴上救恩為頭盔，穿上報復為衣服，披戴熱心為外袍。

我要懲罰巴比倫的彼勒，使它吐出所吞之物。列國必不再流歸到它那裏，巴比倫的城牆也必坍塌。

非利士人把偶像拋棄在那裏，大衛和他的人拿去了。
