何沙雅子亞薩哩亞、迦哩亞子約哈難、及驕侈之士、告耶利米曰、爾出言妄誕、我之上帝耶和華未嘗遣爾、告我云、勿往居埃及、

何沙雅子亞薩利亞、加利亞子約哈難、及諸狂傲之人、告耶利米曰、爾出言虛誑、主我之天主、未嘗遣爾諭我云、勿往居伊及、

Azariah son of Hoshaiah and Johanan son of Kareah and all the arrogant men said to Jeremiah,“ You are lying! The Lord our God has not sent you to say,‘ You must not go to Egypt to settle there.’

After that, Azariah, the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan, the son of Kareah, spoke to Jeremiah. And all the proud men joined them. They said,“ You are lying! The Lord our God hasn’t sent you to speak to us. He hasn’t told you to say,‘ You must not go to Egypt and make your homes there.’

Azariah the son of Hoshaiah and Johanan the son of Kareah and all the insolent men said to Jeremiah,“ You are telling a lie. The Lord our God did not send you to say,‘ Do not go to Egypt to live there,’

Azariah son of Hoshaiah and Johanan son of Kareah and all the other proud men said to Jeremiah,“ You lie! The Lord our God hasn’t forbidden us to go to Egypt!

then Azariah son of Hoshaiah, Johanan son of Kareah, and all the other arrogant men responded to Jeremiah,“ You are speaking a lie! The LORD our God has not sent you to say,‘ You must not go to Egypt to stay there for a while!’

Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the arrogant men said to Jeremiah,“ You are telling a lie! The Lord our God has not sent you to say,‘ You are not to enter Egypt to reside there’;

that Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men spoke, saying to Jeremiah,“ You speak falsely! The Lord our God has not sent you to say,‘ Do not go to Egypt to dwell there.’

then spake Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying unto Jeremiah, Thou speakest falsely: Jehovah our God hath not sent thee to say, Ye shall not go into Egypt to sojourn there;

then Azariah son of Hoshaiah, Johanan son of Kareah, and all the other arrogant men responded to Jeremiah,“ You are speaking a lie! The Lord our God has not sent you to say,‘ You must not go to Egypt to live there for a while!’

Then spake Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, and Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men, saying unto Jeremiah, Thou speakest falsely: the LORD our God hath not sent thee to say, Go not into Egypt to sojourn there:

Then Azariah son of Hoshaiah, Johanan son of Kareah, and other arrogant men said to Jeremiah,“ You are telling a lie! The LORD our God did not send you to tell us,‘ You must not go to Egypt and settle there.’

then Azariah the son of Hoshaiah, Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the proud men spoke, saying to Jeremiah,“ You speak falsely. Yahweh our God has not sent you to say,‘ You shall not go into Egypt to live there;’

以法莲的首都是撒玛利亚；撒玛利亚的领袖是利玛利的儿子。你们若是不信，必站立不稳。’”

于是尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，加利亚的两个儿子约哈难和约拿单，单户篾的儿子西莱雅，并尼陀法人以斐的众子，玛迦人的儿子耶撒尼亚，和属他们的人，都来到米斯巴的基大利那里。

众军官和加利亚的儿子约哈难，并何沙雅的儿子耶撒尼亚以及众百姓，从最小的到最大的都进前来，

尼布甲尼撒王曾叫他指着神起誓，他却背叛，硬着颈项，内心顽固，不归向耶和华—以色列的神。

关乎耶和华他们说了虚谎的话：“他不会的，灾祸必不临到我们，我们也不会遇见刀剑和饥荒。先知不过是一阵风，道也不在他们里面；这灾祸必临到他们身上。”

受诅咒、偏离你命令的骄傲人，你已经责备他们。

敬畏耶和华就是恨恶邪恶；我恨恶骄傲、狂妄、恶道，和乖谬的口。

但是他赐更多的恩典，正如经上说：“神抵挡骄傲的人，但赐恩给谦卑的人。”

就是高傲的眼，撒谎的舌，杀害无辜的手，

骄傲在败坏以先，内心高傲在跌倒之前。心里谦卑与困苦人来往，强如与骄傲人同分战利品。

尼探雅的儿子以实玛利杀了亚希甘的儿子基大利，从米斯巴把所有幸存的百姓、士兵、妇女、孩童、太监掳到基遍之后，加利亚的儿子约哈难和与他一起的军官把他们都抢回来，

可是你仍然向我的百姓自高自大，不放他们走。

看哪，恶人自高自大，心不正直；惟义人必因他的信得生。他因酒诡诈、狂傲、不安于位；他张开喉咙，好像阴间，如死亡不能知足，他聚集万国，招聚万民全归自己。

凡心里骄傲的，为耶和华所憎恶；击掌保证，他难免受罚。

我们受尽了安逸人的讥诮和骄傲人的藐视。

愿耶和华剪除一切油滑的嘴唇，夸大的舌头。

众百姓，就是以法莲和撒玛利亚的居民，都将知道；他们凭骄傲自大的心说：“砖块掉落了，我们要凿石头重建；桑树砍了，我们要改种香柏树。”

法老说：“耶和华是谁，要我听他的话，让以色列人去？我不认识耶和华，也不放以色列人走！”

你们当听，当侧耳而听；不可骄傲，因为耶和华已经吩咐了。

耶利米向众百姓说完了耶和华—他们神一切的话，就是耶和华—他们神差他去说的这一切话，

同样，你们年轻的，要顺服年长的。你们大家都要以谦卑当衣服穿上，彼此顺服，因为“神抵挡骄傲的人，但赐恩给谦卑的人。”

加利亚的儿子约哈难和在乡间的军官来到米斯巴的基大利那里，对他说：“亚扪人的王巴利斯派尼探雅的儿子以实玛利来谋害你的命，你知道吗？”亚希甘的儿子基大利却不相信他们的话。加利亚的儿子约哈难在米斯巴私下对基大利说：“求你容我去杀尼探雅的儿子以实玛利，必无人知道。何必让他害你的命，使聚集到你这里来的犹大人都分散，以致犹大剩余的人都灭亡呢？”亚希甘的儿子基大利对加利亚的儿子约哈难说：“你不可做这事，你所论以实玛利的话是假的。”

恶人面带骄傲，不寻找耶和华；他的思想中全无神。他的路时常亨通，你的审判不在他眼里。至于他所有的敌人，他都向他们发怒气。

免得我饱足了，就不认你，说：“耶和华是谁呢？”又恐怕我贫穷就偷窃，以致亵渎我神的名。
