我要告訴你，耶和華說，『我必在整個大地上拆毀我所建立的，剷除我所栽培的。

耶和華對耶利米說：“你要這樣對他說：‘耶和華這樣說：看哪！我所建立的，我必拆毀；我所栽種的，我必拔除。我必這樣對待全地。

如今永恆主這麼說：看吧，我所建立的我必傾覆；我所栽植的我必拔除；拔除全轄地。

耶和華命我告爾曰、耶和華云、我所建者、必毀之、我所植者、必拔之、全地皆然、

惟我耶和華告爾、曰、昔予建造斯邦、加以栽植、後必殲滅、拔其根株、

主命我耶利米告爾巴錄曰、主如是云、我所建造、後我毀之、我所栽植、後我拔之、天下俱如是、

But the Lord has told me to say to you,‘ This is what the Lord says: I will overthrow what I have built and uproot what I have planted, throughout the earth.

But here is what the Lord has told me to say to you, Baruch.‘ The Lord says,“ I will destroy what I have built up. I will pull up by the roots what I have planted. I will do this throughout the earth.

Thus shall you say to him, Thus says the Lord: Behold, what I have built I am breaking down, and what I have planted I am plucking up— that is, the whole land.

“ Baruch, this is what the Lord says:‘ I will destroy this nation that I built. I will uproot what I planted.

“ This is what you are to say to him:‘ This is what the LORD says:“ What I have built I am about to demolish, and what I have planted I am about to uproot— the whole land!

This is what you are to say to him:‘ This is what the Lord says:“ Behold, what I have built I am going to tear down, and what I have planted I am going to uproot, that is, all the people of the land.”

“ Thus you shall say to him,‘ Thus says the Lord:“ Behold, what I have built I will break down, and what I have planted I will pluck up, that is, this whole land.

Thus shalt thou say unto him, Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up; and this in the whole land.

“ This is what you are to say to him:‘ This is what the Lord says: What I have built I am about to demolish, and what I have planted I am about to uproot— the whole land!

Thus shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold,[ that] which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.

The LORD told Jeremiah,“ Tell Baruch,‘ The LORD says,“ I am about to tear down what I have built and to uproot what I have planted. I will do this throughout the whole earth.

“ You shall tell him, Yahweh says:‘ Behold, that which I have built, I will break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up; and this in the whole land.

當我宣佈要剷除、推翻、毀滅哪一邦或哪一國的時候，如果他們悔過自新，我必施憐憫，取消我原本要降給他們的災禍。當我宣佈要建造、栽培哪一邦或哪一國的時候，如果他們做我視為惡的事，不聽從我的話，我必改變心意，取消我原本要賜給他們的福氣。

我曾決意剷除、拆毀、推翻、剿滅他們，降災給他們，將來我必塑造、栽培他們。這是耶和華說的。

今日，我派你到列邦列國去拔掉、拆除、毀滅、推翻、建造和栽植。」

你從埃及帶出一棵葡萄樹，趕走外族人，把它栽種起來。你為它開墾土地，它就扎根生長，佈滿這片土地。它的樹蔭遮蓋群山，枝子遮蔽香柏樹。它的枝條延伸到地中海，嫩枝伸展到幼發拉底河。你為何拆毀了它的籬笆，讓路人隨意摘取葡萄呢？林中的野豬蹂躪它，野獸吞吃它。萬軍之上帝啊，求你回來，求你在天上垂顧我們這棵葡萄樹，這棵你親手栽種和培育的葡萄樹。這樹被砍倒，被焚燒，願你發怒毀滅仇敵。

我——萬軍之耶和華曾栽培以色列人和猶大人，如今我要降禍給他們，因為他們作惡，向巴力獻祭，惹我發怒。」

就後悔在地上造了人，心裡傷痛，說：「我要把所造的人從地上除掉，連同一切飛禽走獸和爬蟲都除掉，我後悔造了他們。」

他鬆土，清除石頭，栽種了上好的葡萄，在園中建了一座瞭望塔，鑿了榨酒池。他期望收穫好葡萄，得到的卻是壞葡萄。他說，「耶路撒冷和猶大的居民啊，請你們在我和葡萄園之間評評理。我不遺餘力地料理葡萄園，希望得到好葡萄，為什麼得到的只是壞葡萄呢？「現在，我告訴你們我會怎樣處理這葡萄園，我要除去籬笆，任它被毀壞；我要拆毀圍牆，任它被踐踏。我不再修剪，不再鋤地，也不再降雨，任由它荒廢，長滿荊棘和蒺藜。」萬軍之耶和華的葡萄園就是以色列，祂所喜愛的葡萄樹就是猶大人。祂希望看到公平，卻只看見殺戮；指望看到公義，卻只聽見冤聲。
