The shouts of joy over your ripened fruit and over your harvests have been stilled. (niv)

The hand of the Lord will rest on this mountain; but Moab will be trampled in their land as straw is trampled down in the manure. (niv)

My heart cries out over Moab; her fugitives flee as far as Zoar, as far as Eglath Shelishiyah. They go up the hill to Luhith, weeping as they go; on the road to Horonaim they lament their destruction. (niv)

It consumed Ar of Moab, the citizens of Arnon’s heights.Woe to you, Moab! You are destroyed, people of Chemosh! He has given up his sons as fugitives and his daughters as captives to Sihon king of the Amorites.“ But we have overthrown them; Heshbon’s dominion has been destroyed all the way to Dibon. We have demolished them as far as Nophah, which extends to Medeba.” (niv)

A prophecy against Moab: Ar in Moab is ruined, destroyed in a night! Kir in Moab is ruined, destroyed in a night! (niv)

So I took the cup from the Lord’s hand and made all the nations to whom he sent me drink it: (niv)

“ In the shadow of Heshbon the fugitives stand helpless, for a fire has gone out from Heshbon, a blaze from the midst of Sihon; it burns the foreheads of Moab, the skulls of the noisy boasters. (niv)
