「各人頭上光禿，鬍鬚剪短，手有劃傷，腰束麻布。

『因為各人頭上光禿，各人鬍鬚剃淨，各人手有刻劃傷，各人腰束麻布。

厥首盡髠、厥鬚盡薙、手受割、腰束麻、

彼鬚髮盡薙、指掌毀傷、腰束麻帶。

彼俱除髮薙鬚、割傷己手、腰間繫麻、

Every head is shaved and every beard cut off; every hand is slashed and every waist is covered with sackcloth.

Every head is shaved. Every beard is cut off. Every hand is cut. And every waist is covered with the clothes of sadness.

“ For every head is shaved and every beard cut off. On all the hands are gashes, and around the waist is sackcloth.

The people shave their heads and beards in mourning. They slash their hands and put on clothes made of burlap.

Indeed, every head is bald and every beard is chopped short. On every hand is a gash and sackcloth around the waist.

For every head is shaved bald, and every beard cut short; there are gashes on all the hands, and sackcloth around the waists.

“ For every head shall be bald, and every beard clipped; On all the hands shall be cuts, and on the loins sackcloth—

Indeed, every head is bald and every beard clipped; on every hand is a gash and sackcloth around the waist.

For all of them will shave their heads in mourning. They will all cut off their beards to show their sorrow. They will all make gashes in their hands. They will all put on sackcloth.

迦薩成了光禿；平原中所剩的亞實基倫歸於無有。你用刀劃身，要到幾時呢？

他們上巴益，又往底本，到高處去哭泣。摩押人因尼波和米底巴哀號，各人頭上光禿，鬍鬚剃淨。他們在街市上都腰束麻布，在房頂上和寬闊處俱各哀號，眼淚汪汪。

雅各便撕裂衣服，腰間圍上麻布，為他兒子悲哀了多日。

第二天，有八十人從示劍和示羅，並撒馬利亞來，鬍鬚剃去，衣服撕裂，身體劃破，手拿素祭和乳香，要奉到耶和華的殿。

那時，耶和華曉諭亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞說：「你去解掉你腰間的麻布，脫下你腳上的鞋。」以賽亞就這樣做，露身赤腳行走。

連大帶小，都必在這地死亡，不得葬埋。人必不為他們哀哭，不用刀劃身，也不使頭光禿。

呂便回到坑邊，見約瑟不在坑裏，就撕裂衣服，

我必使你們的節期變為悲哀，歌曲變為哀歌。眾人腰束麻布，頭上光禿，使這場悲哀如喪獨生子，至終如痛苦的日子一樣。

要用麻布束腰，被戰兢所蓋；各人臉上羞愧，頭上光禿。

我要使我那兩個見證人，穿着毛衣，傳道一千二百六十天。」

他晝夜常在墳塋裏和山中喊叫，又用石頭砍自己。

猶大啊，要為你所喜愛的兒女剪除你的頭髮，使頭光禿，要大大地光禿，如同禿鷹，因為他們都被擄去離開你。

又為你使頭上光禿，用麻布束腰，號咷痛哭，苦苦悲哀。

希西家王聽見就撕裂衣服，披上麻布，進了耶和華的殿，

必有臭爛代替馨香，繩子代替腰帶，光禿代替美髮，麻衣繫腰代替華服，烙傷代替美容。

不可為死人用刀劃身，也不可在身上刺花紋。我是耶和華。

王聽見婦人的話，就撕裂衣服；（王在城上經過）百姓看見王貼身穿着麻衣。

他們大聲求告，按着他們的規矩，用刀槍自割、自刺，直到身體流血。

亞哈聽見這話，就撕裂衣服，禁食，身穿麻布，睡臥也穿着麻布，並且緩緩而行。
