彼鬚髮盡薙、指掌毀傷、腰束麻帶。

彼俱除髮薙鬚、割傷己手、腰間繫麻、

Every head is shaved and every beard cut off; every hand is slashed and every waist is covered with sackcloth.

Every head is shaved. Every beard is cut off. Every hand is cut. And every waist is covered with the clothes of sadness.

“ For every head is shaved and every beard cut off. On all the hands are gashes, and around the waist is sackcloth.

The people shave their heads and beards in mourning. They slash their hands and put on clothes made of burlap.

Indeed, every head is bald and every beard is chopped short. On every hand is a gash and sackcloth around the waist.

迦薩成了光禿，亞實基倫歸於無有。平原中所剩的啊，你割劃自己，要到幾時呢？

摩押上到神廟和底本的丘壇去哭泣；它因尼波和米底巴哀號，各人頭上光禿，鬍鬚剃淨。他們在街市上腰束麻布，都在房頂和廣場上哀號，淚流不停。

雅各就撕裂衣服，腰間圍上麻布，為他兒子哀傷了多日。

有八十人從示劍、示羅和撒瑪利亞前來，鬍鬚剃去，衣服撕裂，身體劃破，手拿素祭和乳香，要奉到耶和華的殿。

那時，耶和華吩咐亞摩斯的兒子以賽亞說：「你去解掉你腰間的麻布，脫下你腳上的鞋。」以賽亞就這樣做，赤身赤腳行走。

他們連大帶小，都必在這地死亡，不得埋葬。人必不為他們哀哭，不為他們割劃自己，也不剃光頭。

呂便回到坑旁，看哪，約瑟不在坑裏，就撕裂自己的衣服，

「我要使你們的節期變為悲哀，你們一切的歌曲變為哀歌；我要使眾人腰束麻布，頭上光禿；我要使這悲哀如喪獨子，其結局如悲痛的日子。

腰束麻布，戰慄籠罩他們；各人臉上羞愧，頭上光禿。

「我要賜權柄給我那兩個見證人，穿着粗麻衣說預言一千二百六十天。」

他晝夜常在墳墓裏和山中喊叫，又用石頭打自己。

猶大啊，為了你所喜愛的兒女，你要剪髮，剃光頭，要使你的頭光禿，如同禿鷹，因為他們被擄去離開你了。

又為你使頭光禿，用麻布束腰，號咷痛哭，痛苦至極。

希西家王聽見了，就撕裂衣服，披上麻衣，進了耶和華的殿。

必有腐爛代替馨香，繩子代替腰帶，光禿代替美髮，麻衣繫腰代替華服，烙痕代替美貌。

不可為死人割劃自己的身體，也不可在身上刺花紋。我是耶和華。

王聽見婦人的話，就撕裂衣服；那時，王在城牆上經過，百姓看見了，看哪，王貼身穿着麻布。

他們大聲求告，按着他們的儀式，用刀槍刺割自己，直到渾身流血。

亞哈聽見這些話，就撕裂衣服，禁食，貼身穿着麻布，也睡在麻布上，沮喪地走來走去。
