逃於驚駭者、必陷於坎阱、出於坎阱者、必罹於機檻、蓋我必使懲罰摩押之年臨之、耶和華言之矣、

免於驚駭者、必陷於坎阱、出於坎阱者、必罹於機檻、屆期我必降災於摩押。

逃避驚懼之事者、必陷於坎阱、出自坎阱者、必罹於網羅、我必使摩押受罰之期速臨、此乃主所言、

“ Whoever flees from the terror will fall into a pit, whoever climbs out of the pit will be caught in a snare; for I will bring on Moab the year of her punishment,” declares the Lord.

Anyone who runs away from the terror will fall into the pit. Anyone who climbs out of the pit will be caught in the trap. The time is coming when I will punish Moab,” announces the Lord.

He who flees from the terror shall fall into the pit, and he who climbs out of the pit shall be caught in the snare. For I will bring these things upon Moab, the year of their punishment, declares the Lord.

“ Those who flee in terror will fall into a trap, and those who escape the trap will step into a snare. I will see to it that you do not get away, for the time of your judgment has come,” says the Lord.

He who flees from the panic will fall in the pit, and he who climbs from the pit will be captured in the trap, for I will bring against Moab the year of their punishment. This is the LORD’s declaration.

就像人躲避了獅子，卻遇見了熊；進了屋子，手靠着牆，卻給蛇咬了。

牠中間雇傭的兵也像圈裏養肥的牛犢；因為就在他們遭遇災難的日子、受察罰關頭臨到他們身上時，他們也竟轉身、一齊逃跑，沒有站住。

其餘的逃到亞弗城內；剩下的二萬七千人、城牆塌陷在他們身上了。便哈達也逃跑；進了城裏一間儘內屋。

永恆主的使者就出來，在亞述營中擊殺了十八萬五千人；第二天早晨、人清早起來，只見都是死屍。亞述王西拿基立拔了營而走，就回去，住在尼尼微。他在他的神尼斯洛廟裏叩拜的時候，他兒子亞得米勒和沙利色用刀弒殺了他，逃到亞拉臘地。他的兒子以撒哈頓接替他作王。

察罰的日子來了，報應的日子到了，以色列必知道的。神言人愚忘，靈感動的人瘋狂，都因你罪孽之大，仇恨之深。

當察罰的日子、有風暴從遠方趕來，你們要怎樣行呢？你們要向誰逃奔去得救助呢？你們的財寶要撇在哪裏呢？

『永恆主發神諭說：看吧，我要差人去召許多打魚的，把以色列人打上來；然後我要差人去召許多打獵的，從各山上、各岡陵上，各碞石縫兒，把他們都獵取了來。

偶像簡直是虛無，是惹人嘲笑的傑作！到受察罰時、一定滅亡。

我看見主站在祭壇旁；他說：『你要擊打柱頂，使門檻震動，要把其頭頂都砍掉；其餘留的、我必用刀殺掉，沒有能逃掉的，沒有一個能逃脫的。『即使他們挖到了陰間，就是從那裏、我的手也必把他們捉出來；即使他們爬上天去，就是從那裏、我也必將他們拿下來。即使他們藏在迦密山頂，就是從那裏、我也必搜尋去捉出來；即使他們隱藏在海底、離開我眼前，就是從那裏、我也必吩咐蛇去咬他們。即使他們被仇敵擄去、流亡外國，就是從那裏、我也必吩咐刀劍去殺戮他們；我必拿眼瞪着他們，是要降禍，不是降福。』

輕快者逃走的路都斷絕，有大力的不能運用其力，剛勇的不能搭救自己；操縱弓箭的不能站立着，腿輕快的不能逃脫，騎馬的也不能搭救自己；

他們最好的也只像荊棘，最正直的也只像籬笆刺；他們的守望者所說的日子、他們被察罰之日、已經來到；其慌慌亂亂就在眼前了。

偶像簡直是虛無，是惹人嘲笑的傑作！到受察罰時、一定滅亡。

因此、他們的路、對於他們來說、就像墨黑中的滑地，他們準會被推趕而仆倒的；因為當他們被察罰的年日，我必使災禍臨到他們：這是永恆主發神諭說的。

將來那躲避恐怖聲的、必墜入陷坑；那從陷坑中上來的、必被機檻纏住；因為高天的罅隙都開了，地的根基也震動了。

他們行了可厭惡的事、覺得慚愧麼？不，他們一點也不慚愧，也不知羞恥；因此他們必在仆倒的人中間仆倒；我察罰他們時、他們必致傾覆：這是永恆主說的。
