LORD, I know you look for faithfulness. But even when you punish these people, they feel no remorse. Even when you nearly destroy them, they refuse to be corrected. They have become as hardheaded as a rock. They refuse to change their ways.

O Yahweh, don’t your eyes look on truth? You have stricken them, but they were not grieved. You have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction. They have made their faces harder than a rock. They have refused to return.

我責打你們的兒女是徒然的，他們不受管教。你們自己的刀吞滅你們的先知，好像殘害人的獅子。

因為耶和華的眼目遍察全地，要堅固向他存純正之心的人。你在這事上行得愚昧；因此，以後你必有戰爭。」

你要對他們說：『這就是不聽從耶和華－他們神的話、不領受訓誨的國民；誠信已從他們口中消失殆盡了。

我說：『只要你敬畏我，領受訓誨；其住處就不會照我原先所定的被剪除。』然而，他們從早起來就在各樣事上敗壞自己。

這百姓還沒有歸向擊打他們的主，也沒有尋求萬軍之耶和華。

以色列家卻不肯聽從你，因為他們不肯聽從我；原來以色列全家是額頭堅硬、心裏剛愎的人。看哪，我使你的臉堅硬，對抗他們的臉；使你的額頭堅硬，對抗他們的額頭。我使你的額頭像金剛石，比火石更堅硬。他們雖是悖逆之家，但你不要怕他們，也不要因他們的臉色而驚惶。」

禍哉，這欺壓的城！悖逆，污穢，不聽從命令，不領受訓誨，不倚靠耶和華，不親近它的神。

耶和華在他的聖殿裏，耶和華在天上的寶座上；他的眼睛察看，他的眼目察驗世人。耶和華考驗義人；惟有惡人和喜愛暴力的人，他心裏恨惡。他要向惡人密佈羅網，烈火、硫磺、熱風作他們杯中的份。因為耶和華是公義的，他喜愛義行，正直人必得見他的面。

他們卻不留意；聳肩悖逆，耳朵發沉，不肯聽從。他們的心堅硬如金剛石，不聽律法和萬軍之耶和華藉着他的靈差遣從前先知所說的話。因此，萬軍之耶和華大發烈怒。

還是你藐視他豐富的恩慈、寬容、忍耐，不知道他的恩慈是領你悔改嗎？你竟放任你剛硬不悔改的心，為自己累積憤怒！在憤怒的日子，神公義的審判要顯示出來。

惡人臉無羞恥；正直人行事堅定。

你們卻不聽我，不側耳而聽，竟硬着頸項行惡，比你們的祖先更甚。

因為我知道你是頑梗的；你的頸項是鐵的，你的額頭是銅的。

用杵把愚妄人與穀粒一同搗在臼中，他的愚昧還是離不了他。

「萬軍之耶和華－以色列的神如此說：『看哪，我必使我所說的一切災禍臨到這城和屬它的城鎮，因為他們硬着頸項不聽我的話。』」

這亞哈斯王在急難的時候，越發得罪耶和華。

你們為甚麼屢次悖逆，繼續受責打呢？你們已經滿頭疼痛，全心發昏；從腳掌到頭頂，沒有一處是完好的，盡是創傷、瘀青，與流血的傷口，未曾擠淨，未曾包紮，也沒有用膏滋潤。

再者，我們曾有肉身之父管教我們，我們尚且敬重他，何況靈性之父，我們豈不更當順服他而得生命嗎？

我們知道這樣做的人，神必公平地審判他。

說：「人擊打我，但我未受傷，重擊我，我不覺得。我幾時清醒，還要再去尋酒。」

雖然我想潔淨你污穢的淫行，你卻不潔淨，你的污穢再也不能潔淨，直等我止息了向你發的憤怒。

所以，他將猛烈的怒氣和戰爭的威力傾倒在以色列身上；在他周圍如火燃起，他竟然不知，燒着了，他也不在意。

耶和華的眼目保護知識，卻毀壞奸詐人的言語。

你謀事有大略，行事有大能，注目觀看世人一切的舉動，為要照各人所做的和他做事的結果報應他。

你所喜愛的是內心的誠實；求你在我隱密處使我得智慧。
