我豈不因這些事施行懲罰嗎？像這樣的國家，我豈能不報復呢？這是耶和華說的。

耶和华说：“我岂不因这些事讨罪呢？岂不报复这样的国民呢？

我岂不因这些事施行惩罚吗？像这样的国家，我岂能不报复呢？这是耶和华说的。

我怎能不惩罚他们呢？我怎能不亲自报应这样的国民呢？这是耶和华说的。

我因这些事怎能不施行惩罚呢？像这样的国家，我怎能不亲自报复呢？”这是耶和华的宣告。

耶和華曰、我豈不緣此而加譴責、豈不復仇於若是之國哉、○

主曰、有若是之事、我豈能不降罰、有若是之民、我豈能不報復、

I will surely punish them for doing such things!” says the LORD.“ I will surely bring retribution on such a nation as this!”

耶和華－以色列的神論到那些牧養他百姓的牧人如此說：「你們趕散我的羊羣，並未看顧他們；看哪，我必懲罰你們的惡行。這是耶和華說的。

伸冤報應在我，到了時候他們會失腳。因為他們遭難的日子近了，他們的厄運快要臨到。

我要使刀劍臨到你們，報復你們的背約。你們若被趕入城中，我要降瘟疫在你們中間，把你們交在仇敵手中。

他們獻祭物作為給我的供物，卻自食其肉，耶和華並不悅納他們。現在他必記起他們的罪孽，懲罰他們的罪惡；他們必返回埃及。

因此，主－萬軍之耶和華、以色列的大能者說：「唉！我要向我的對頭雪恨，向我的敵人報仇。

我要懲罰她素日給諸巴力燒香的罪；那時她佩戴耳環和珠寶，跟隨她所愛的，卻忘記我。這是耶和華說的。

「列國啊，當與耶和華的子民一同歡呼；因為他要為他僕人所流的血伸冤，報應他的敵人，救贖他的土地和他的子民。」

錫安哪，你罪孽的懲罰已經結束，耶和華必不再使你被擄去。以東啊，耶和華必懲罰你的罪孽，揭露你的罪惡。

我的眼必不顧惜你，也不可憐你，必按你所做的報應你，照你中間可憎的事懲罰你；你就知道擊打你的是我－耶和華。

耶和華因你們所行的惡、所做可憎的事，不能再容忍，所以使你們的地荒涼，受驚駭詛咒，無人居住，正如今日一樣。

「我要這樣發盡我的怒氣；我向他們發的憤怒停止以後，自己就得到平息。當我向他們發盡我的憤怒時，他們就知道我－耶和華所說的是出於妒忌。在四圍的列國中，我要使你成為荒涼，在所有過路人的眼前看為羞辱。這樣，我必以怒氣、憤怒和烈怒的責備，向你施行審判。那時，它就在四圍的列國中成為羞辱、譏刺、警戒、驚駭；這是我－耶和華說的。

耶和華是忌邪、報應的神。耶和華施報應，大有憤怒；耶和華向他的敵人報應，向他的仇敵懷怒。
