“万军之耶和华如此说：我必折断以拦人的弓，就是他们为首的权力。

要在境内竖立大旗，在各国中吹角，使列国预备攻击巴比伦，将亚拉腊、米尼、亚实基拿各国招来攻击他；又派军长来攻击他，使马匹上来如蚂蚱，

在她额上有名写着说：“奥秘哉！大巴比伦，作世上的淫妇和一切可憎之物的母。”

马匹上去吧！车辆急行吧！勇士，就是手拿盾牌的古实人和弗人，并拉弓的路德族，都出去吧！

我必激动玛代人来攻击他们。玛代人不注重银子，也不喜爱金子。他们必用弓击碎少年人，不怜悯妇人所生的，眼也不顾惜孩子。

约押看见敌人在他前后摆阵，就从以色列军中挑选精兵，使他们对着亚兰人摆阵。

他们的箭快利，弓也上了弦。马蹄算如坚石，车轮好像旋风。

山间有多人的声音，好像是大国人民。有许多国的民聚集哄嚷的声音；这是万军之耶和华点齐军队，预备打仗。
