你地上的人民如同妇女；你国中的关口向仇敌敞开；你的门闩被火焚烧。

锡安的门都陷入地内；主将她的门闩毁坏，折断。她的君王和首领落在没有律法的列国中；她的先知不得见耶和华的异象。

有刀剑临到矜夸的人，他们就成为愚昧；有刀剑临到他的勇士，他们就惊惶。有刀剑临到他的马匹、车辆，和其中杂族的人民；他们必像妇女一样。有刀剑临到他的宝物，就被抢夺。

所以，人手都必软弱；人心都必消化。他们必惊惶悲痛；愁苦必将他们抓住。他们疼痛，好像产难的妇人一样，彼此惊奇相看，脸如火焰。

心中勇敢的人都被抢夺；他们睡了长觉，没有一个英雄能措手。

到那日，埃及人必像妇人一样，他们必因万军之耶和华在埃及以上所抡的手，战兢惧怕。

我耶和华所膏的居鲁士；我搀扶他的右手，使列国降伏在他面前。我也要放松列王的腰带，使城门在他面前敞开，不得关闭。我对他如此说：“我必在你前面行，修平崎岖之地。我必打破铜门，砍断铁闩。

我必折断大马士革的门闩，剪除亚文平原的居民和伯伊甸掌权的。亚兰人必被掳到吉珥。”这是耶和华说的。

因为他坚固了你的门闩，赐福给你中间的儿女。

渡口被占据了，苇塘被火烧了，兵丁也惊慌了。”

加略被攻取，保障也被占据。到那日，摩押的勇士心中疼痛如临产的妇人。

因为他打破了铜门，砍断了铁闩。

因怕她的痛苦，就远远地站着说：“哀哉！哀哉！巴比伦大城，坚固的城啊，一时之间你的刑罚就来到了。”

君王，名为万军之耶和华的说：“我必使巴比伦的首领、智慧人、省长、副省长，和勇士都沉醉，使他们睡了长觉，永不醒起。
