因為永恆主正在摧毁着巴比倫；使出於其中的大聲音息滅；仇敵的波浪喧囂匉訇如眾水；他們鬨嚷的聲音響起了。

蓋耶和華使巴比倫荒蕪、絕其中之譁然、敵若大水、波濤漰渤、發其喧闐之聲、

蓋我耶和華滅巴比倫、邑中譁然、聲若波濤洶湧、我平息之。

主滅巴比倫、其中諠譁、聲若大水之波濤洶湧、必使盡息、

The Lord will destroy Babylon; he will silence her noisy din. Waves of enemies will rage like great waters; the roar of their voices will resound.

I will destroy Babylon. I will put an end to all its noise. Waves of enemies will sweep through it like great waters. The roar of their voices will fill the air.

For the Lord is laying Babylon waste and stilling her mighty voice. Their waves roar like many waters; the noise of their voice is raised,

For the Lord is destroying Babylon. He will silence her loud voice. Waves of enemies pound against her; the noise of battle rings through the city.

For the LORD is going to devastate Babylon; he will silence her mighty voice. Their waves roar like a huge torrent; the tumult of their voice resounds,

For the Lord is going to destroy Babylon, And He will make her loud noise vanish from her. And their waves will roar like many waters; The clamor of their voices sounds forth.

Because the Lord is plundering Babylon And silencing her loud voice, Though her waves roar like great waters, And the noise of their voice is uttered,

For Jehovah layeth Babylon waste, and destroyeth out of her the great voice; and their waves roar like many waters; the noise of their voice is uttered:

For the Lord is going to devastate Babylon; He will silence her mighty voice. Their waves roar like abundant waters; the tumult of their voice resounds,

Because the LORD hath spoiled Babylon, and destroyed out of her the great voice; when her waves do roar like great waters, a noise of their voice is uttered:

For the LORD is ready to destroy Babylon, and put an end to her loud noise. Their waves will roar like turbulent waters. They will make a deafening noise.

For Yahweh lays Babylon waste, and destroys out of her the great voice! Their waves roar like many waters. The noise of their voice is uttered.

我又要止息他們歡喜和快樂的聲音、新郎和新娘的聲音、推磨的聲音和燈的亮光。

天使又對我說：「你所看見那淫婦坐的眾水，就是許多民族、人民、邦國、語言。

他們要像少壯獅子一同咆哮，像小獅子吼叫。他們食慾一來的時候，我必為他們擺設酒席，使他們沉醉，好叫他們快樂；他們睡了長覺，永不醒起。這是耶和華說的。

列邦喧鬧，如同大水滔滔；但神一斥責，他們就遠遠躲避，他們被追趕，如同山上風前的糠粃，又如暴風前的碎稭；

使諸海的響聲和其中波浪的響聲，並萬民的喧嘩，都平靜了。

死亡的繩索勒住我，毀滅的急流驚嚇我，

海水漲起，漫過巴比倫；澎湃的海浪遮蓋了它。

所以，主耶和華如此說：推羅，看哪，我與你為敵，使許多國家湧上攻擊你，如同海洋使波浪湧上一樣。

論摩押的默示。一夜之間，摩押的亞珥變為荒廢，歸於無有；一夜之間，摩押的基珥變為荒廢，歸於無有。

耶和華啊，大水揚起，大水發聲，大水澎湃。耶和華在高處大有威力，勝過諸水的響聲，洋海的大浪。

「日月星辰要顯出預兆，地上的邦國也有困苦，因海中波浪的響聲而惶惶不安。

彈琴、歌唱、吹笛、吹號的聲音，在你中間絕對聽不見了；各行手藝的技工在你中間絕對見不到了；推磨的聲音在你中間絕對聽不見了；燈臺的光在你中間絕對不再照耀了；新郎和新娘的聲音在你中間絕對聽不見了。你的商人原來是地上的顯要；萬國也被你的邪術迷惑了。

迦勒底啊，你要靜坐，進入黑暗中，因你不再稱為萬國之后。

迦勒底要成為掠物，凡擄掠它的都必心滿意足。這是耶和華說的。」搶奪我產業的啊，你們因歡喜快樂，像踹穀嬉戲的母牛犢，又像發嘶聲的壯馬。你們的母親極其抱愧，生你們的必然蒙羞。看哪，她要列在諸國之末，成為曠野、旱地、沙漠；因耶和華的憤怒，巴比倫必無人居住，全然荒涼，凡經過的都要受驚駭，又因它所遭的災殃嗤笑。所有拉弓的啊，要在巴比倫的四圍擺陣，射箭攻擊它，不用愛惜箭枝，因為它得罪了耶和華。要在它四圍吶喊：「它已經投降，堡壘坍塌了，城牆拆毀了！」這是耶和華所報的仇。你們要向它報仇；它怎樣待人，你們也要怎樣待它。

擊鼓之樂停止，狂歡者的喧嘩止住，彈琴之樂也停止了。人不再飲酒唱歌，喝烈酒的，必以為苦。荒涼的城拆毀了，各家關閉，無法進入。有人在街上嚷着要酒喝，一切的喜樂變為昏暗，地上的歡樂全都消失。
