According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.

The law came in that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly;that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”

But if the service of death, written engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the children of Israel could not look steadfastly on the face of Moses for the glory of his face, which was passing away,won’t service of the Spirit be with much more glory?For if the service of condemnation has glory, the service of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.For most certainly that which has been made glorious has not been made glorious in this respect, by reason of the glory that surpasses.

The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth.

Didn’t Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill me?”

When they had appointed him a day, many people came to him at his lodging. He explained to them, testifying about God’s Kingdom, and persuading them concerning Jesus, both from the law of Moses and from the prophets, from morning until evening.

For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written,“ Cursed is everyone who doesn’t continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.”Now that no man is justified by the law before God is evident, for,“ The righteous will live by faith.”The law is not of faith, but,“ The man who does them will live by them.”Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written,“ Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,”

All the nations of the earth will be blessed by your offspring, because you have obeyed my voice.’”

Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken,but Christ is faithful as a Son over his house. We are his house, if we hold fast our confidence and the glorying of our hope firm to the end.

For finding fault with them, he said,“ Behold, the days come”, says the Lord,“ that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah;not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers, in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; for they didn’t continue in my covenant, and I disregarded them,” says the Lord.“ For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel. After those days,” says the Lord;“ I will put my laws into their mind, I will also write them on their heart. I will be their God, and they will be my people.They will not teach every man his fellow citizen, and every man his brother, saying,‘ Know the Lord,’ for all will know me, from their least to their greatest.For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness. I will remember their sins and lawless deeds no more.”

For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.Therefore when he comes into the world, he says,“ You didn’t desire sacrifice and offering, but you prepared a body for me.You had no pleasure in whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin.Then I said,‘ Behold, I have come( in the scroll of the book it is written of me) to do your will, O God.’”Previously saying,“ Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you didn’t desire, neither had pleasure in them”( those which are offered according to the law),then he has said,“ Behold, I have come to do your will.” He takes away the first, that he may establish the second,by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

“ Don’t think that I will accuse you to the Father. There is one who accuses you, even Moses, on whom you have set your hope.

Now when he had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty- four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.They sang a new song, saying,“ You are worthy to take the book and to open its seals: for you were killed, and bought us for God with your blood out of every tribe, language, people, and nation,and made us kings and priests to our God, and we will reign on the earth.”

Now I say this: A covenant confirmed beforehand by God in Christ, the law, which came four hundred thirty years after, does not annul, so as to make the promise of no effect.

Moses called to all Israel, and said to them,“ Hear, Israel, the statutes and the ordinances which I speak in your ears today, that you may learn them, and observe to do them.”

“ Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, for he has visited and redeemed his people;and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David( as he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets who have been from of old),salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all who hate us;to show mercy toward our fathers, to remember his holy covenant,the oath which he swore to Abraham, our father,to grant to us that we, being delivered out of the hand of our enemies, should serve him without fear,in holiness and righteousness before him all the days of our life.And you, child, will be called a prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways,to give knowledge of salvation to his people by the remission of their sins,because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the dawn from on high will visit us,to shine on those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death; to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

Now I say that Christ has been made a servant of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given to the fathers,and that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written,“ Therefore I will give praise to you among the Gentiles and sing to your name.”Again he says,“ Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people.”Again,“ Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles! Let all the peoples praise him.”Again, Isaiah says,“ There will be the root of Jesse, he who arises to rule over the Gentiles; in him the Gentiles will hope.”

This is he who was in the assembly in the wilderness with the angel that spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received living revelations to give to us,

After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could count, out of every nation and of all tribes, peoples, and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, dressed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.They cried with a loud voice, saying,“ Salvation be to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”All the angels were standing around the throne, the elders, and the four living creatures; and they fell on their faces before his throne, and worshiped God,saying,“ Amen! Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and might, be to our God forever and ever! Amen.”One of the elders answered, saying to me,“ These who are arrayed in the white robes, who are they, and where did they come from?”I told him,“ My lord, you know.” He said to me,“ These are those who came out of the great suffering. They washed their robes, and made them white in the Lamb’s blood.Therefore they are before the throne of God, they serve him day and night in his temple. He who sits on the throne will spread his tabernacle over them.They will never be hungry or thirsty any more. The sun won’t beat on them, nor any heat;for the Lamb who is in the middle of the throne shepherds them and leads them to springs of life- giving waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

He has given help to Israel, his servant, that he might remember mercy,as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham and his offspring forever.”

We know that God has spoken to Moses. But as for this man, we don’t know where he comes from.”

I will put hostility between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her offspring. He will bruise your head, and you will bruise his heel.”

For however many are the promises of God, in him is the“ Yes.” Therefore also through him is the“ Amen”, to the glory of God through us.

He has remembered his loving kindness and his faithfulness toward the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

I will sing of the loving kindness of Yahweh forever. With my mouth, I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.I indeed declare,“ Love stands firm forever. You established the heavens. Your faithfulness is in them.”

You will give truth to Jacob, and mercy to Abraham, as you have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.

These all, having had testimony given to them through their faith, didn’t receive the promise,God having provided some better thing concerning us, so that apart from us they should not be made perfect.

“ Concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he has spoken thus:‘ I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.’Therefore he says also in another psalm,‘ You will not allow your Holy One to see decay.’For David, after he had in his own generation served the counsel of God, fell asleep, was laid with his fathers, and saw decay.But he whom God raised up saw no decay.Be it known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man is proclaimed to you remission of sins,and by him everyone who believes is justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

Mercy and truth meet together. Righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

Moses commanded us a law, an inheritance for the assembly of Jacob.

God spoke all these words, saying,“ I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.“ You shall have no other gods before me.“ You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me,and showing loving kindness to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.“ You shall not misuse the name of Yahweh your God, for Yahweh will not hold him guiltless who misuses his name.“ Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.You shall labor six days, and do all your work,but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God. You shall not do any work in it, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates;for in six days Yahweh made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day; therefore Yahweh blessed the Sabbath day, and made it holy.“ Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.“ You shall not murder.“ You shall not commit adultery.“ You shall not steal.“ You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.“ You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.”

This is the law which Moses set before the children of Israel.
