He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.”On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. For the one whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit. (niv)

And this was his message:“ After me comes the one more powerful than I, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and untie.I baptize you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.” (niv)

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message.The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles.For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter said,“ Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.” (niv)

Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John.But John tried to deter him, saying,“ I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?”Jesus replied,“ Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness.” Then John consented. (niv)

All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. (niv)
