Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue;

知道公义、将我的训诲存在心中的人哪，当听从我！不要怕人的辱骂，也不要因人的毁谤惊惶。

可是没有人公开谈论他，因为他们怕犹太人。

他父母说这些话，是怕犹太人，因为犹太人已经商定，若有宣认耶稣是基督的，要把他赶出会堂。

惧怕人的，陷入圈套；惟有倚靠耶和华的，必得安稳。

“所以，凡在人面前认我的，我在我天上的父面前也必认他；

这人夜里来见耶稣，对他说：“拉比，我们知道你是由神那里来作老师的；因为你所行的神迹，若没有神同在，无人能行。”

凡宣认耶稣基督是成了肉身而来的灵就是出于神的，由此你们可以认出神的灵来；

于是来看马利亚的犹太人中，有很多人见了耶稣所做的事，就信了他。

因为有许多犹太人为了拉撒路的缘故，开始背离他们，信了耶稣。

他们回答他说：“你完全是生在罪中的，还要来教训我们吗？”于是他们把他赶出去了。

难道官长或法利赛人中有信他的吗？但这些不明白律法的众人是被诅咒的！”其中有尼哥德慕，就是从前去见过耶稣的，对他们说：“不先听本人的口供，查明他所做的事，难道我们的律法还定他的罪吗？”

人为人子的缘故憎恨你们，拒绝你们，辱骂你们，把你们当恶人除掉你们的名，你们就有福了！

你们因耶和华言语而战兢的人哪，当听他的话：“你们的弟兄，就是恨恶你们，因我名赶出你们的，曾说：‘愿耶和华彰显荣耀，好让我们看见你们的喜乐。’但蒙羞的终究是他们！

他们欢欢喜喜地离开议会，因他们算配为这名受辱。

彼得在外面院子里坐着，有一个使女前来，说：“你素来也是同那加利利人耶稣一起的。”彼得在众人面前却不承认，说：“我不知道你说的是什么！”他出去，到了门口，又有一个使女看见他，就对那里的人说：“这个人是同拿撒勒人耶稣一起的。”彼得又不承认，起誓说：“我不认得那个人。”过了不久，旁边站着的人进前来，对彼得说：“你的确是他们一伙的，你的口音把你显露出来了。”彼得就赌咒发誓说：“我不认得那个人。”立刻鸡就叫了。彼得想起耶稣所说的话：“鸡叫以前，你要三次不认我。”他就出去痛哭。

“我又告诉你们，凡在人面前认我的，人子在神的使者面前也必认他；

人要把你们赶出会堂，而且时候将到，凡杀你们的还以为是在事奉神。

因为，人心里信就可以称义，口里宣认就可以得救。

这些事以后，亚利马太的约瑟来求彼拉多，要把耶稣的身体领去。他是耶稣的门徒，只因怕犹太人，就暗地里作门徒。彼拉多准许了，他就把耶稣的身体领走。

你怕谁，因谁恐惧，竟说谎，不记得我，不将这事放在心上。是否因我许久闭口不言，你就不怕我了呢？

亲爱的，有火一般的考验临到你们，不要奇怪，似乎是遭遇非常的事；倒要欢喜，因为你们是与基督一同受苦，使你们在他荣耀显现的时候也可以欢喜快乐。你们若为基督的名受辱骂是有福的，因为荣耀的灵，就是神的灵，在你们身上。你们中间，不可有人因为杀人、偷窃、作恶、好管闲事而受苦。若有人因是基督徒而受苦，不要引以为耻，倒要因这名而归荣耀给神。

凡宣认耶稣为神儿子的，神就住在他里面，而他也住在神里面。
