So the great dragon was thrown out— the ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the one who deceives the whole world. He was thrown to earth, and his angels with him.

He did not commit sin, and no deceit was found in His mouth;

in which you previously walked according to the ways of this world, according to the ruler who exercises authority over the lower heavens, the spirit now working in the disobedient.

After He had suffered, He also presented Himself alive to them by many convincing proofs, appearing to them during 40 days and speaking about the kingdom of God.

For this is the kind of high priest we need: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.

Then He told them,“ These are My words that I spoke to you while I was still with you— that everything written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms must be fulfilled.”Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.He also said to them,“ This is what is written: The Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead the third day,and repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.You are witnesses of these things.And look, I am sending you what My Father promised. As for you, stay in the city until you are empowered from on high.”

He has rescued us from the domain of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son He loves.

He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for 1,000 years.He threw him into the abyss, closed it, and put a seal on it so that he would no longer deceive the nations until the 1,000 years were completed. After that, he must be released for a short time.

He made the One who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without defect or blemish.
