Philip said,“ Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”

When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward him, he said to Philip,“ Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?”He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do.Philip answered him,“ It would take more than half a year’s wages to buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!” (niv)

No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever. (niv)

The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip, he said to him,“ Follow me.”Philip, like Andrew and Peter, was from the town of Bethsaida.Philip found Nathanael and told him,“ We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote— Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”“ Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked.“ Come and see,” said Philip. (niv)

Then the Lord came down in the cloud and stood there with him and proclaimed his name, the Lord.And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming,“ The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness,maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation.” (niv)

They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request.“ Sir,” they said,“ we would like to see Jesus.”Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew and Philip in turn told Jesus. (niv)

then that person can pray to God and find favor with him, they will see God’s face and shout for joy; he will restore them to full well- being. (niv)

As for me, I will be vindicated and will see your face; when I awake, I will be satisfied with seeing your likeness. (niv)

I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. (niv)

“ Though I have been speaking figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father. (niv)

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. (niv)
