而伯鐸祿猶立而取煖。或問之、曰：『汝亦斯人之徒歟？』伯鐸祿否認曰：『非也！』

Meanwhile, Simon Peter was still standing there warming himself. So they asked him,“ You aren’t one of his disciples too, are you?” He denied it, saying,“ I am not.”

Meanwhile, Simon Peter was still standing there warming himself by the fire. So they asked him,“ You aren’t one of Jesus’ disciples too, are you?” He said,“ I am not.”

Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. So they said to him,“ You also are not one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it and said,“ I am not.”

Meanwhile, as Simon Peter was standing by the fire warming himself, they asked him again,“ You’re not one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it, saying,“ No, I am not.”

Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said to him,“ You aren’t one of his disciples too, are you?” He denied it and said,“ I am not.”

Now Simon Peter was still standing and warming himself. So they said to him,“ You are not one of His disciples as well, are you?” He denied it, and said,“ I am not.”

Now Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. Therefore they said to him,“ You are not also one of His disciples, are you?” He denied it and said,“ I am not!”

Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore unto him, Art thou also one of his disciples? He denied, and said, I am not.

Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him,“ You aren’t also one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it and said,“ I am not.”

過了一會兒，又有一個人看見他，說：「你也是他們一夥的。」彼得說：「你這個人，我不是！」約過了一小時，又有一個人堅持說：「他實在是同那人一起的，因為他也是加利利人。」彼得說：「你這個人，我不知道你在說甚麼！」正說話之間，雞就叫了。主轉過身來看彼得，彼得就想起主對他所說的話：「今日雞叫以前，你要三次不認我。」他就出去痛哭。

懼怕人的，陷入圈套；惟有倚靠耶和華的，必得安穩。

他出去，到了門口，又有一個使女看見他，就對那裏的人說：「這個人是同拿撒勒人耶穌一起的。」彼得又不承認，起誓說：「我不認得那個人。」過了不久，旁邊站着的人進前來，對彼得說：「你的確是他們一夥的，你的口音把你顯露出來了。」彼得就賭咒發誓說：「我不認得那個人。」立刻雞就叫了。彼得想起耶穌所說的話：「雞叫以前，你要三次不認我。」他就出去痛哭。

那看門的使女對彼得說：「你不也是這人的門徒嗎？」他說：「我不是。」僕人和警衛因為天冷生了炭火，站在那裏取暖；彼得也同他們站着取暖。

後來，磯法到了安提阿，因為他有可責之處，我就當面反對他。從雅各那裏來的人未到以前，他和外邦人一同吃飯，及至他們來到，他因怕奉割禮的人就退出，跟外邦人疏遠了。其餘的猶太人也都隨着他裝假，甚至連巴拿巴也隨夥裝假。

有一個使女看見彼得面向火光坐着，就定睛看他，說：「這個人素來也是同那人一起的。」

彼得在外面院子裏坐着，有一個使女前來，說：「你素來也是同那加利利人耶穌一起的。」

耶穌回來，見他們睡着了，就對彼得說：「西門，你睡着了嗎？不能警醒一小時嗎？總要警醒禱告，免得陷入試探。你們心靈固然願意，肉體卻軟弱了。」

撒拉因為害怕，就不承認，說：「我沒有笑。」那人說：「不，你的確笑了。」

見彼得取暖，就看着他，說：「你素來也是同拿撒勒人耶穌一起的。」彼得卻不承認，說：「我不知道，也不明白你說的是甚麼！」於是他出來，到了前院，雞就叫了。那使女看見他，又對旁邊站着的人說：「這個人也是他們一夥的。」彼得又不承認。過了不久，旁邊站着的人又對彼得說：「你真是他們一夥的，因為你也是加利利人。」彼得就賭咒發誓說：「我不認得你們說的這個人。」立刻，雞叫了第二遍。彼得想起耶穌對他所說的話：「雞叫兩遍以前，你要三次不認我。」他就忍不住哭了。
