又曰、人子必受多苦、為長老、祭司諸長士子所棄、且見殺、三日復起、又謂眾曰、欲從我者、當克己日負其十架以從、蓋凡欲救其生者、將喪之、為我喪其生者、將救之、利盡天下、而自喪自亡、何益之有、蓋凡恥我及我道者、迨人子以己與父、及聖使之榮而臨時、亦必恥其人、

撒母耳曰、毋畏、汝誠行此諸惡、然勿轉離不從耶和華、惟盡心服事之、

自是耶穌始示其徒、以己必往耶路撒冷、備受長老祭司諸長士子之苦、且見殺、三日而起、彼得援而諫之曰、主、不可、此必不及爾也、耶穌回顧彼得曰、撒但退、爾阻我、以爾不體上帝之事、乃體人之事耳、遂語其徒曰、欲從我者、當克己負其十架以從、蓋欲救其生者、將喪之、為我而喪其生者、將得之、

或宣道則依上帝之詔、或執事則依上帝所賜之能、致上帝由耶穌基督凡事受榮、願榮與權歸之、爰及世世、阿們、○愛友乎、若遇火煉之試、勿以為不測而奇之、爾既與基督之苦、當以為樂、俾於其榮顯著時、亦可歡欣踴躍、若為基督名見詬、則福矣、蓋上帝有榮之神止於爾、

此乃驗耶穌所言、示其將如何而死也、○

人役於我、則當從我、我所在、我役亦在焉、役於我者、我父將貴之、

耶穌曰、我誠語汝、爾曹從我者、及復興之際、人子坐其榮位、爾亦坐十二位、鞫以色列十二支矣、

惟我僕迦勒、性質殊異於眾、專從乎我、所往之地、必導之入、其裔據以為業、
