Philip found Nathanael and told him,“ We have found the one whom Moses wrote about in the Law. The prophets also wrote about him. He is Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”“ Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked.“ Come and see,” said Philip.Jesus saw Nathanael approaching. Here is what Jesus said about him.“ He is a true Israelite. Nothing about him is false.”“ How do you know me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus answered,“ I saw you while you were still under the fig tree. I saw you there before Philip called you.”Nathanael replied,“ Rabbi, you are the Son of God. You are the king of Israel.”Jesus said,“ You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that.”Then he said to the disciples,“ What I’m about to tell you is true. You will see heaven open. You will see the angels of God going up and coming down on the Son of Man.”On the third day there was a wedding. It took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there.

Thomas said to him,“ My Lord and my God!”

What Jesus did here in Cana in Galilee was the first of his signs. Jesus showed his glory by doing this sign. And his disciples believed in him.

It went to Abdon, Rehob, Hammon and Kanah. It reached all the way to Greater Sidon.

Going on from there, he saw two other brothers. They were James, son of Zebedee, and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee. As they were preparing their nets, Jesus called out to them.Right away they left the boat and their father and followed Jesus.

So were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, who worked with Simon. Then Jesus said to Simon,“ Don’t be afraid. From now on you will fish for people.”
