I also saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life, and the dead were judged according to their works by what was written in the books.

Since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, in the same way God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.For we say this to you by a revelation from the Lord: We who are still alive at the Lord’s coming will certainly have no advantage over those who have fallen asleep.For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the archangel’s voice, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.Then we who are still alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so we will always be with the Lord.

So it is with the resurrection of the dead: Sown in corruption, raised in incorruption;sown in dishonor, raised in glory; sown in weakness, raised in power;sown a natural body, raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.So it is written: The first man Adam became a living being; the last Adam became a life-giving Spirit.However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, then the spiritual.The first man was from the earth and made of dust; the second man is from heaven.Like the man made of dust, so are those who are made of dust; like the heavenly man, so are those who are heavenly.And just as we have borne the image of the man made of dust, we will also bear the image of the heavenly man.Brothers, I tell you this: Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, and corruption cannot inherit incorruption.Listen! I am telling you a mystery: We will not all fall asleep, but we will all be changed,in a moment, in the blink of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.For this corruptible must be clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal must be clothed with immortality.When this corruptible is clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal is clothed with immortality, then the saying that is written will take place: Death has been swallowed up in victory.

Your dead will live; their bodies will rise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in the dust! For you will be covered with the morning dew, and the earth will bring out the departed spirits.

But I know my living Redeemer, and He will stand on the dust at last.Even after my skin has been destroyed, yet I will see God in my flesh.

This is the will of Him who sent Me: that I should lose none of those He has given Me but should raise them up on the last day.For this is the will of My Father: that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.”

The hand of the Lord was on me, and He brought me out by His Spirit and set me down in the middle of the valley; it was full of bones.He led me all around them. There were a great many of them on the surface of the valley, and they were very dry.Then He said to me,“ Son of man, can these bones live?” I replied,“ Lord God, only You know.”He said to me,“ Prophesy concerning these bones and say to them: Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!This is what the Lord God says to these bones: I will cause breath to enter you, and you will live.I will put tendons on you, make flesh grow on you, and cover you with skin. I will put breath in you so that you come to life. Then you will know that I am Yahweh.”So I prophesied as I had been commanded. While I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone.As I looked, tendons appeared on them, flesh grew, and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.He said to me,“ Prophesy to the breath, prophesy, son of man. Say to it: This is what the Lord God says: Breath, come from the four winds and breathe into these slain so that they may live!”So I prophesied as He commanded me; the breath entered them, and they came to life and stood on their feet, a vast army.

Martha said,“ I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”Jesus said to her,“ I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me, even if he dies, will live.

I will ransom them from the power of Sheol. I will redeem them from death. Death, where are your barbs? Sheol, where is your sting? Compassion is hidden from My eyes.

Do not be amazed that I told you that you must be born again.

He will transform the body of our humble condition into the likeness of His glorious body, by the power that enables Him to subject everything to Himself.

For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.

Jesus told her,“ Believe Me, woman, an hour is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem.

For the Father loves the Son and shows Him everything He is doing, and He will show Him greater works than these so that you will be amazed.

When Peter saw this, he addressed the people:“ Men of Israel, why are you amazed at this? Or why do you stare at us, as though we had made him walk by our own power or godliness?
