Jesus, knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force, withdrew again to a mountain by himself.

Don’t be afraid.”They were willing therefore to receive him into the boat. Immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.

Immediately he made his disciples get into the boat, and to go ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he himself sent the multitude away.After he had taken leave of them, he went up the mountain to pray.When evening had come, the boat was in the middle of the sea, and he was alone on the land.Seeing them distressed in rowing, for the wind was contrary to them, about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea, and he would have passed by them,but they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out;for they all saw him, and were troubled. But he immediately spoke with them, and said to them,“ Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.”He got into the boat with them; and the wind ceased, and they were very amazed among themselves, and marveled;for they hadn’t understood about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.

His brothers therefore said to him,“ Depart from here and go into Judea, that your disciples also may see your works which you do.For no one does anything in secret while he seeks to be known openly. If you do these things, reveal yourself to the world.”

Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat, and to go ahead of him to the other side, while he sent the multitudes away.After he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into the mountain by himself to pray. When evening had come, he was there alone.But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, distressed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus came to them, walking on the sea.When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying,“ It’s a ghost!” and they cried out for fear.But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying,“ Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.”Peter answered him and said,“ Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the waters.”He said,“ Come!” Peter stepped down from the boat, and walked on the waters to come to Jesus.But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying,“ Lord, save me!”Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand, took hold of him, and said to him,“ You of little faith, why did you doubt?”When they got up into the boat, the wind ceased.Those who were in the boat came and worshiped him, saying,“ You are truly the Son of God!”

Those who went in front, and those who followed, cried out,“ Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!

saying,“ Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest!”

On the next day a great multitude had come to the feast. When they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,they took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet him, and cried out,“ Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel!”Jesus, having found a young donkey, sat on it. As it is written,“ Don’t be afraid, daughter of Zion. Behold, your King comes, sitting on a donkey’s colt.”

Jesus went up into the mountain, and he sat there with his disciples.

But Jesus didn’t entrust himself to them, because he knew everyone,and because he didn’t need for anyone to testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.

There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him to whom we must give an account.

I don’t receive glory from men.
