When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the water; and they were frightened.

到了晚上，船在海中，耶穌獨自在岸上。他看見門徒因風不順，搖櫓很苦。天快亮的時候，他在海面上走，往他們那裏去，想要超過他們。但門徒看見他在海面上走，以為是鬼怪，就喊叫起來；

天快亮的時候，耶穌在海面上走，往門徒那裏去。但門徒看見他在海面上走，就驚慌了，說：「是個鬼怪！」他們害怕得喊叫起來。

他獨自鋪張諸天，步行在海浪之上。

我不會撇下你們為孤兒，我必到你們這裏來。

耶和華在高處大有威力，勝過諸水的響聲，洋海的大浪。

耶和華坐在洪水之上為王；耶和華坐着為王，直到永遠。

正說這些話的時候，耶穌親自站在他們當中，說：「願你們平安！」他們卻驚慌害怕，以為所看見的是魂。耶穌對他們說：「你們為甚麼驚恐不安？為甚麼心裏起疑惑呢？你們看我的手和我的腳，就知道實在是我了。摸摸我，看，因為魂無骨無肉，你們看，我是有的。」

然而那些人竭力划槳，想要把船靠回陸地，卻是不能；因風浪越來越大，撲向他們。

划槳的把你划到水深之處，東風在海中將你擊破。

伯大尼離耶路撒冷不遠，約有六里路。

那醡酒池在城外被踹踏，有血從醡酒池裏流出來，漲到馬的嚼環那麼高，約有一千六百斯他迪那麼遠。

城是四方的，長寬一樣。天使用蘆葦量那城，共有一萬二千斯他迪，長、寬、高都是一樣。

同一天，門徒中有兩個人往一個村子去；這村子名叫以馬忤斯，離耶路撒冷約有二十五里。
