摩西不是传了律法给你们吗？你们却没有一个人守律法。为什么想要杀我呢？”

他就离开犹太，又回加利利去。

有人在这城迫害你们，就逃到另一城去。我实在告诉你们，以色列的城镇，你们还没有走遍，人子就要来临。

可是，园户看见他儿子，彼此说：‘这是承受产业的。来，我们杀了他，占他的产业！’

这是约翰的见证：犹太人从耶路撒冷差祭司和利未人到约翰那里去问他：“你是谁？”

这是耶稣从犹太回到加利利后所行的第二个神迹。

就在那时，有几个法利赛人来对耶稣说：“离开这里到别处去吧，因为希律想要杀你。”耶稣对他们说：“你们去告诉那个狐狸：‘你看吧，今天明天我赶鬼治病，第三天我的事就成了。’虽然这样，今天明天后天我必须向前走，因为先知是不可能在耶路撒冷之外被害的。

于是耶路撒冷人中有的说：“这个人不是他们想要杀的吗？

我把在神那里所听见的真理告诉了你们，现在你们却想要杀我；亚伯拉罕没有做过这样的事。

“我知道，你们是亚伯拉罕的后裔，你们却想要杀我，因为你们心里容不下我的道。

从那日起，他们就商议要杀耶稣。所以，耶稣不再公开在犹太人中走动，却离开那里，往靠近旷野的乡间去，到了一座城，名叫以法莲，就在那里和门徒住下来。

于是，他们又要捉拿他，他却从他们手中逃脱了。耶稣又往约旦河的东边去，到了约翰起初施洗的地方，就住在那里。
