  • Exodus 24:2-3

The others must not come near, and none of the other people are allowed to climb up the mountain with him.”Then Moses went down to the people and repeated all the instructions and regulations the Lord had given him. All the people answered with one voice,“ We will do everything the Lord has commanded.”
  • Deuteronomy 1:17
and impartial in your judgments. Hear the cases of those who are poor as well as those who are rich. Don’t be afraid of anyone’s anger, for the decision you make is God’s decision. Bring me any cases that are too difficult for you, and I will handle them.’
  • Matthew 21:38
“ But when the tenant farmers saw his son coming, they said to one another,‘ Here comes the heir to this estate. Come on, let’s kill him and get the estate for ourselves!’
  • Romans 2:17-29
You who call yourselves Jews are relying on God’s law, and you boast about your special relationship with him.You know what he wants; you know what is right because you have been taught his law.You are convinced that you are a guide for the blind and a light for people who are lost in darkness. You think you can instruct the ignorant and teach children the ways of God. For you are certain that God’s law gives you complete knowledge and truth.Well then, if you teach others, why don’t you teach yourself? You tell others not to steal, but do you steal? You say it is wrong to commit adultery, but do you commit adultery? You condemn idolatry, but do you use items stolen from pagan temples? You are so proud of knowing the law, but you dishonor God by breaking it.No wonder the Scriptures say,“ The Gentiles blaspheme the name of God because of you.”The Jewish ceremony of circumcision has value only if you obey God’s law. But if you don’t obey God’s law, you are no better off than an uncircumcised Gentile. And if the Gentiles obey God’s law, won’t God declare them to be his own people? In fact, uncircumcised Gentiles who keep God’s law will condemn you Jews who are circumcised and possess God’s law but don’t obey it.For you are not a true Jew just because you were born of Jewish parents or because you have gone through the ceremony of circumcision. No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by the Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people.
  • John 10:39
Once again they tried to arrest him, but he got away and left them.
  • Galatians 3:19

  • John 5:16

  • Romans 2:12-13
When the Gentiles sin, they will be destroyed, even though they never had God’s written law. And the Jews, who do have God’s law, will be judged by that law when they fail to obey it.For merely listening to the law doesn’t make us right with God. It is obeying the law that makes us right in his sight.
  • John 5:18
So the Jewish leaders tried all the harder to find a way to kill him. For he not only broke the Sabbath, he called God his Father, thereby making himself equal with God.
  • John 10:31-32
Once again the people picked up stones to kill him.Jesus said,“ At my Father’s direction I have done many good works. For which one are you going to stone me?”
  • Romans 3:10-23
As the Scriptures say,“ No one is righteous— not even one.No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God.All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.”“ Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave. Their tongues are filled with lies.”“ Snake venom drips from their lips.”“ Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”“ They rush to commit murder.Destruction and misery always follow them. They don’t know where to find peace.”“ They have no fear of God at all.”Obviously, the law applies to those to whom it was given, for its purpose is to keep people from having excuses, and to show that the entire world is guilty before God.For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are.But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago.We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are.For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.
  • Matthew 23:2-4

  • Hebrews 3:3-5

His work was an illustration of the truths God would reveal later.
  • Acts 7:38
Moses was with our ancestors, the assembly of God’s people in the wilderness, when the angel spoke to him at Mount Sinai. And there Moses received life giving words to pass on to us.
  • Mark 3:4

  • Psalms 2:1-6
Why are the nations so angry? Why do they waste their time with futile plans? The kings of the earth prepare for battle; the rulers plot together against the Lord and against his anointed one.“ Let us break their chains,” they cry,“ and free ourselves from slavery to God.”But the one who rules in heaven laughs. The Lord scoffs at them. Then in anger he rebukes them, terrifying them with his fierce fury. For the Lord declares,“ I have placed my chosen king on the throne in Jerusalem, on my holy mountain.”
