他們就問：“你是誰？”耶穌說：“我不是從起初就告訴你們嗎？

他们就问他说：“你是谁？”耶稣对他们说：“就是我从起初所告诉你们的。

他们就问他：“你到底是谁？”耶稣对他们说：“我从起初就告诉你们了。

他们就问他：“你到底是谁？”耶稣对他们说：“我从起初就告诉你们了。

他们问：“你到底是谁？”耶稣回答说：“我不是早就告诉你们了吗？

他们就问：“你是谁？”耶稣说：“我不是从起初就告诉你们吗？

他们问：“你到底是谁？”耶稣说：“我从一开始就告诉你们了。

他們就問他說：「你是誰？」耶穌對他們說：「就是我從起初所告訴你們的。

他們問：「你到底是誰？」耶穌回答說：「我不是早就告訴你們了嗎？

於是他們問耶穌說：『你、是誰？』耶穌對他們說：『總而言之，就是我同你們所講論的。

他們問：「你到底是誰？」耶穌說：「我從一開始就告訴你們了。

眾曰、爾為誰、曰、即自始所言於爾者、

眾曰、爾為誰、耶穌曰、我昔言之矣、

眾曰、爾為誰、耶穌曰、即我自始所告爾者、

眾問曰：『爾果誰歟？』耶穌曰：『予乃無始之始、而今為爾說道者是！

“ Who are you?” they asked.“ Just what I have been telling you from the beginning,” Jesus replied.

“ Who are you?” they asked.“ Just what I have been telling you from the beginning,” Jesus replied.

So they said to him,“ Who are you?” Jesus said to them,“ Just what I have been telling you from the beginning.

“ Who are you?” they demanded. Jesus replied,“ The one I have always claimed to be.

“ Who are you?” they questioned.“ Exactly what I’ve been telling you from the very beginning,” Jesus told them.

Then they were saying to Him,“ Who are You?” Jesus said to them,“ What have I even been saying to you from the beginning?

Then they said to Him,“ Who are You?” And Jesus said to them,“ Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning.

They said therefore unto him, Who art thou? Jesus said unto them, Even that which I have also spoken unto you from the beginning.

“ Who are You?” they questioned.“ Precisely what I’ve been telling you from the very beginning,” Jesus told them.

Then said they unto him, Who art thou? And Jesus saith unto them, Even[ the same] that I said unto you from the beginning.

So they said to him,“ Who are you?” Jesus replied,“ What I have told you from the beginning.

They said therefore to him,“ Who are you?” Jesus said to them,“ Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning.

以下是約翰的見證：猶太人從耶路撒冷派祭司和利未人到約翰那裡，問他：“你是誰？”

於是他們再問：“你是誰？好讓我們回覆派我們來的人。你說你自己是誰？”

又進了官邸，問耶穌：“你究竟是從哪裡來的？”耶穌卻不回答他。

猶太人圍著他，對他說：“你使我們心裡懸疑不定，要到幾時呢？如果你是基督，就公開地告訴我們吧！”

“你若是基督，就告訴我們吧。”耶穌說：“就算我告訴你們，你們也決不相信。

耶穌又對眾人說：“我是世界的光，跟從我的，必定不在黑暗裡走，卻要得著生命的光。”

耶穌卻對他們說：“我父作工直到現在，我也作工。”因此猶太人就更想殺耶穌，因為他不但破壞安息日，而且稱神為自己的父，把自己與神當作平等。耶穌又對他們說：“我實實在在告訴你們，子靠著自己不能作甚麼，只能作他看見父所作的；因為父所作的事，子也照樣作。父愛子，把自己所作的一切指示給他看，還要把比這些更大的事指示給他看，使你們驚奇。父怎樣叫死人復活，使他們得生命，子也照樣隨自己的意思使人得生命。父不審判人，卻已經把審判的權柄完全交給子，使所有的人尊敬子好像尊敬父一樣。不尊敬子的，就是不尊敬那差他來的父。我實實在在告訴你們，那聽見我的話又信那差我來的，就有永生，不被定罪，而是已經出死入生了。我實實在在告訴你們，時候將到，現在就是了，死人要聽見神兒子的聲音，聽見的人就要活了。就如父是生命的源頭，照樣他也使子成為生命的源頭，並且把執行審判的權柄賜給他，因為他是人子。你們不要把這事看作希奇，因為時候將到，那時所有在墳墓裡的都要聽見他的聲音，並且都要出來；行善的復活得生命，作惡的復活被定罪。
