所以，一有机会就要向众人行善，向信徒一家的人更要这样。

你们要把握时机，用智慧与外人来往。

我在地上已经荣耀你，你交给我做的工作，我已完成了。

但我有比约翰更大的见证：父交给我去完成的工作，就是我正在做的，为我作证是父差遣了我。

我若不做我父的工作，你们就不必信我；

于是耶稣回答，对他们说：“我实实在在地告诉你们，子凭着自己不能做什么，惟有看见父所做的，他才做；父所做的事，子也照样做。

耶稣回应他们：“我做了许多从父那里来的善事给你们看，你们是为哪一件拿石头打我呢？”

原来，阴间不能称谢你，死亡不能颂扬你，下到地府的人也不能盼望你的信实。只有活人，活人必称谢你，像我今日称谢你一样。为父的，必使儿女知道你的信实。

耶稣对他们说：“你们去告诉那个狐狸：‘你看吧，今天明天我赶鬼治病，第三天我的事就成了。’虽然这样，今天明天后天我必须向前走，因为先知是不可能在耶路撒冷之外被害的。耶路撒冷啊，耶路撒冷啊，你常杀害先知，又用石头打死那奉差遣到你这里来的人。我多少次想聚集你的儿女，好像母鸡把小鸡聚集在翅膀底下，可是你们不愿意。
