鄰人與素識其為瞽者曰、此非坐而乞者乎、

鄰人及素見其為瞽者、曰、此非坐而乞者乎、

諸隣及曾見其乞食者、皆曰：『此非曩日坐而乞者乎？』或曰：『是也。』

His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked,“ Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?”

His neighbors and people who had seen him earlier begging asked questions.“ Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?” they asked.

The neighbors and those who had seen him before as a beggar were saying,“ Is this not the man who used to sit and beg?”

His neighbors and others who knew him as a blind beggar asked each other,“ Isn’t this the man who used to sit and beg?”

His neighbors and those who had seen him before as a beggar said,“ Isn’t this the one who used to sit begging?”

Therefore the neighbors and those who previously had seen that he was blind said,“ Is not this he who sat and begged?”

The neighbors therefore, and they that saw him aforetime, that he was a beggar, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?

His neighbors and those who formerly had seen him as a beggar said,“ Isn’t this the man who sat begging?”

The neighbours therefore, and they which before had seen him that he was blind, said, Is not this he that sat and begged?

Then the neighbors and the people who had seen him previously as a beggar began saying,“ Is this not the man who used to sit and beg?”

The neighbors therefore, and those who saw that he was blind before, said,“ Isn’t this he who sat and begged?”

He raises the poor from the dust, He lifts the needy from the garbage heap To seat them with nobles, And He gives them a seat of honor as an inheritance; For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, And He set the world on them.

Now as Jesus was approaching Jericho, a man who was blind was sitting by the road, begging.

And a poor man named Lazarus was laid at his gate, covered with sores,and longing to be fed from the scraps which fell from the rich man’s table; not only that, the dogs also were coming and licking his sores.Now it happened that the poor man died and was carried away by the angels to Abraham’s arms; and the rich man also died and was buried.

Then they* came to Jericho. And later, as He was leaving Jericho with His disciples and a large crowd, a beggar who was blind named Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the road.

But the servants of Achish said to him,“ Is this not David, the king of the land? Did they not sing of this one as they danced, saying,‘ Saul has slain his thousands, And David his ten thousands’?”

And a man who had been unable to walk from birth was being carried, whom they used to set down every day at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, in order for him to beg for charitable gifts from those entering the temple grounds.When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple grounds, he began asking to receive a charitable gift.But Peter, along with John, looked at him intently and said,“ Look at us!”And he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.But Peter said,“ I do not have silver and gold, but what I do have I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, walk!”And grasping him by the right hand, he raised him up; and immediately his feet and his ankles were strengthened.And leaping up, he stood and began to walk; and he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.And all the people saw him walking and praising God;and they recognized him as being the very one who used to sit at the Beautiful Gate of the temple to beg for charitable gifts, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.While he was clinging to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them at the portico named Solomon’s, completely astonished.

So they both went on until they came to Bethlehem. And when they had come to Bethlehem, all the city was stirred because of them, and the women said,“ Is this Naomi?”
