But the eyes of the wicked will fail, and escape will elude them; their hope will become a dying gasp.”

But sinful people won’t find what they are looking for. They won’t be able to escape. All they can hope for is to die.”

在那些国中，你必得不到安宁，脚掌也没有安歇之处；耶和华却要使你在那里心中发颤，眼目失明，精神沮丧。

控告朋友为了分享产业的，他儿女的眼睛要失明。

“我若不让贫寒人遂其所愿，或是叫寡妇眼中失望，

咒骂父母的，他的灯必熄灭，在漆黑中。

凡忘记神的人，路途也是这样；不虔敬人的指望要灭没。他所仰赖的必折断，他所倚靠的是蜘蛛网。

好像人躲避狮子却遇见熊；进房屋以手靠墙，却被蛇咬。耶和华的日子岂不是黑暗没有光明，幽暗毫无光辉吗？

我们的眼目徒然仰望帮助，以致失明，我们从瞭望台所守望的，竟是一个不能救人的国！

风无情地击打他，他试图逃脱风的手。

我们若忽略这么大的救恩，怎能逃避呢？这拯救起先是主亲自讲的，后来是听见的人给我们证实了。

他在阴间受苦，举目远远地望见亚伯拉罕，又望见拉撒路在他怀里，他就喊着说：‘我祖亚伯拉罕哪，可怜我吧！请打发拉撒路来，用指头尖蘸点水，凉凉我的舌头，因为我在这火焰里，极其痛苦。’亚伯拉罕说：‘孩子啊，你该回想你生前享过福，拉撒路也同样受过苦，如今他在这里得安慰，你却受痛苦。除此之外，在你们和我们之间，有深渊隔开，以致人要从这边过到你们那边是不可能的；要从那边过到这边也是不可能的。’

不敬虔的人有什么指望呢？神要剪除他，取他的性命。

快跑的无从避难，壮士无法使力，勇士也不能自救；

我看见主站在祭坛旁，说：“你要击打柱顶，使门槛震动，要剪除众人当中为首的，他们中最后的，我必用刀杀戮；无一人能逃避，无一人能逃脱。“虽然他们挖透阴间，我的手必从那里拉出他们；虽然他们爬到天上，我必从那里拿下他们；虽然藏在迦密山顶，我必在那里搜寻，擒拿他们；虽然离开我眼前藏在海底，我必在那里命令蛇咬他们；

没有黑暗，没有死荫，能给作恶者在那里藏身。

恶人所怕的，必临到他；义人的心愿，必蒙应允。

我因呼求困乏，喉咙发干；我因等候神，眼睛失明。

我就要这样对待你们：我必使惊惶临到你们，使你们患痨病，害热病，以致眼睛失明，身体衰弱。你们要白白撒种，因为仇敌要吃尽你们所种的。

他要从所倚靠的帐棚被拔出来，带到使人惊恐的王那里。
