But their prosperity is not in their own hands, so I stand aloof from the plans of the wicked.

This is why God will bring you down forever. He will take you, ripping you out of your tent; He will uproot you from the land of the living. May I never enter their council; may I never join their assembly. For in their anger they kill men, and on a whim they hamstring oxen.

They trust in their wealth and boast of their abundant riches.Yet these cannot redeem a person or pay his ransom to God—
