城中居民歎息、被傷者中心悲哀、或作城中將死者歎息被戮者之靈鳴冤乃天主不顧此等罪惡、

The groans of the dying rise from the city, and the souls of the wounded cry out for help. But God charges no one with wrongdoing.

The groans of those who are dying are heard from the city. Those who are wounded cry out for help. But God doesn’t charge anyone with doing what is wrong.

From out of the city the dying groan, and the soul of the wounded cries for help; yet God charges no one with wrong.

Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. (niv)

Then they got rid of the foreign gods among them and served the Lord. And he could bear Israel’s misery no longer. (niv)

because that cloak is the only covering your neighbor has. What else can they sleep in? When they cry out to me, I will hear, for I am compassionate. (niv)

When a scourge brings sudden death, he mocks the despair of the innocent. (niv)
