Dominion and dread belong to Him, the One who establishes harmony in the heavens.

“ God is King. He should be feared. He establishes peace in the highest parts of heaven.

“ God is powerful and dreadful. He enforces peace in the heavens.

He demonstrated this power in the Messiah by raising Him from the dead and seating Him at His right hand in the heavens—far above every ruler and authority, power and dominion, and every title given, not only in this age but also in the one to come.

Yes, I know what you’ve said is true, but how can a person be justified before God?If one wanted to take Him to court, he could not answer God once in a thousand times.God is wise and all-powerful. Who has opposed Him and come out unharmed?He removes mountains without their knowledge, overturning them in His anger.He shakes the earth from its place so that its pillars tremble.He commands the sun not to shine and seals off the stars.He alone stretches out the heavens and treads on the waves of the sea.He makes the stars: the Bear, Orion, the Pleiades, and the constellations of the southern sky.He does great and unsearchable things, wonders without number.

The departed spirits tremble beneath the waters and all that inhabit them.Sheol is naked before God, and Abaddon has no covering.He stretches the northern skies over empty space; He hangs the earth on nothing.He wraps up the waters in His clouds, yet the clouds do not burst beneath their weight.He obscures the view of His throne, spreading His cloud over it.He laid out the horizon on the surface of the waters at the boundary between light and darkness.The pillars that hold up the sky tremble, astounded at His rebuke.By His power He stirred the sea, and by His understanding He crushed Rahab.By His breath the heavens gained their beauty; His hand pierced the fleeing serpent.These are but the fringes of His ways; how faint is the word we hear of Him! Yahweh, there is no one like You. You are great; Your name is great in power.Who should not fear You, King of the nations? It is what You deserve. For among all the wise people of the nations and among all their kingdoms, there is no one like You.

He did this so that He might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross and put the hostility to death by it.When the Messiah came, He proclaimed the good news of peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near.

Do you have an arm like God’s? Can you thunder with a voice like His?Adorn yourself with majesty and splendor, and clothe yourself with honor and glory.Unleash your raging anger; look on every proud person and humiliate him.Look on every proud person and humble him; trample the wicked where they stand.Hide them together in the dust; imprison them in the grave.Then I will confess to you that your own right hand can deliver you.

For the High and Exalted One who lives forever, whose name is Holy says this:“ I live in a high and holy place, and with the oppressed and lowly of spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and revive the heart of the oppressed.

Everything is from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed the message of reconciliation to us.Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, certain that God is appealing through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf,“ Be reconciled to God.”He made the One who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

But at the end of those days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven, and my sanity returned to me. Then I praised the Most High and honored and glorified Him who lives forever: For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation.All the inhabitants of the earth are counted as nothing, and He does what He wants with the army of heaven and the inhabitants of the earth. There is no one who can hold back His hand or say to Him,“ What have You done?”At that time my sanity returned to me, and my majesty and splendor returned to me for the glory of my kingdom. My advisers and my nobles sought me out, I was reestablished over my kingdom, and even more greatness came to me.Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt, and glorify the King of heaven, because all His works are true and His ways are just. He is able to humble those who walk in pride.

The peacemakers are blessed, for they will be called sons of God.

And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
