我便说：我必死在家中，必增添我的日子，多如尘沙。

我说：‘我要增添我的日子如尘沙，我必死在自己家中。

“我想，‘我必在家中安然离世，我的年日必多如尘沙。

那时我心里想：‘我必在家中安然去世，我必增添我的日子像沙尘那么多。

我便說：我必死在家中，必增添我的日子，多如塵沙。

我說：『我要增添我的日子如塵沙，我必死在自己家中。

我說：『我要增添我的日子如塵沙，我必死在自己家中。

「我想，『我必在家中安然離世，我的年日必多如塵沙。

那時我心裡想：‘我必在家中安然去世，我必增添我的日子像沙塵那麼多。

那時我心裏說：「我必善終於我的巢窩；我必增多我的年日如塵沙；

自謂必終於我巢、增加我日、如沙之多、

我行若此、自謂必享遐齡、若沙之無量、終於正寢。

“ I thought,‘ I will die in my own house, my days as numerous as the grains of sand.

You who live in‘ Lebanon,’ who are nestled in cedar buildings, how you will groan when pangs come upon you, pain like that of a woman in labor! (niv)

Joseph stored up huge quantities of grain, like the sand of the sea; it was so much that he stopped keeping records because it was beyond measure. (niv)
