神救赎我的灵魂免入深坑；我的生命也必见光。’

上帝救赎我的性命免入地府，我的生命也必见光。’

上帝救贖我魂、免入坑坎、我之生命、復睹光明、

主援我、免於死亡、復睹光明。

天主救贖我生、生或作靈免入塚墓、救贖我命、俾睹光明、

God has delivered me from going down to the pit, and I shall live to enjoy the light of life.’

God has set me free. He has kept me from going down into the darkness of the grave. So I’ll live to enjoy the light of life.’

He has redeemed my soul from going down into the pit, and my life shall look upon the light.’

God rescued me from the grave, and now my life is filled with light.’

and he is gracious to that person and says to God,‘ Spare them from going down to the pit; I have found a ransom for them— (niv)

Or why was I not hidden away in the ground like a stillborn child, like an infant who never saw the light of day? (niv)

May its morning stars become dark; may it wait for daylight in vain and not see the first rays of dawn, (niv)

They draw near to the pit, and their life to the messengers of death. (niv)

But you, God, will bring down the wicked into the pit of decay; the bloodthirsty and deceitful will not live out half their days. But as for me, I trust in you. (niv)

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned. (niv)

Jesus answered,“ Are there not twelve hours of daylight? Anyone who walks in the daytime will not stumble, for they see by this world’s light. (niv)

Do not let the floodwaters engulf me or the depths swallow me up or the pit close its mouth over me. (niv)

they will join those who have gone before them, who will never again see the light of life. (niv)

so that their body finds food repulsive and their soul loathes the choicest meal. (niv)

What you decide on will be done, and light will shine on your ways. (niv)

“ Why is light given to those in misery, and life to the bitter of soul, (niv)

Surely it was for my benefit that I suffered such anguish. In your love you kept me from the pit of destruction; you have put all my sins behind your back.For the grave cannot praise you, death cannot sing your praise; those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness. (niv)

to preserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword. (niv)

Will it go down to the gates of death? Will we descend together into the dust?” (niv)

And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain.He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time. (niv)
