Surely God will not listen to empty talk, Nor will the Almighty regard it.

Indeed, God does not listen to their empty plea; the Almighty pays no attention to it.

In fact, God doesn’t listen to their empty cries. The Mighty One doesn’t pay any attention to them.

Surely God does not hear an empty cry, nor does the Almighty regard it.

But it is wrong to say God doesn’t listen, to say the Almighty isn’t concerned.

Indeed, God does not listen to empty cries, and the Almighty does not take note of it—

God certainly will not listen to an empty cry, Nor will the Almighty regard it.

The Lord is far from the wicked, But He hears the prayer of the righteous.

Therefore thus says the Lord:“ Behold, I will surely bring calamity on them which they will not be able to escape; and though they cry out to Me, I will not listen to them.

When you spread out your hands, I will hide My eyes from you; Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear. Your hands are full of blood.

You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, that you may spend it on your pleasures.

Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil.Do not be rash with your mouth, And let not your heart utter anything hastily before God. For God is in heaven, and you on earth; Therefore let your words be few.For a dream comes through much activity, And a fool’s voice is known by his many words.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, But the prayer of the upright is His delight.

And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.

Though you offer Me burnt offerings and your grain offerings, I will not accept them, Nor will I regard your fattened peace offerings.

For what is the hope of the hypocrite, Though he may gain much, If God takes away his life?Will God hear his cry When trouble comes upon him?

And He said to her,“ What do you wish?” She said to Him,“ Grant that these two sons of mine may sit, one on Your right hand and the other on the left, in Your kingdom.”But Jesus answered and said,“ You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup that I am about to drink, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?” They said to Him,“ We are able.”

“ I cry out to You, but You do not answer me; I stand up, and You regard me.

He shall regard the prayer of the destitute, And shall not despise their prayer.

They did not cry out to Me with their heart When they wailed upon their beds.“ They assemble together for grain and new wine, They rebel against Me;

Israel will cry to Me,‘ My God, we know You!’Israel has rejected the good; The enemy will pursue him.

One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination.

Receive, please, instruction from His mouth, And lay up His words in your heart.If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up; You will remove iniquity far from your tents.Then you will lay your gold in the dust, And the gold of Ophir among the stones of the brooks.Yes, the Almighty will be your gold And your precious silver;For then you will have your delight in the Almighty, And lift up your face to God.You will make your prayer to Him, He will hear you, And you will pay your vows.
