“你以为有理，或以为你的公义胜于神的公义，

“你以为这话有理，说：‘我在上帝面前是公义的。’

“你以为这话有理，说：‘我在神面前是公义的。’

“你在上帝面前自以为义，你认为这合理吗？

“你说：‘我在神面前更显为义’，你自以为这话有理吗？

『你以為這樣說有理，你才說：「我的正義勝於上帝」；

爾以為有理、自謂我之義、愈於上帝之義乎、

爾於上帝前、自稱為義、爾又言、雖不犯罪、亦無所裨、斯言也、豈合乎理。

爾於天主前、自稱為義、或作爾言我義於天主又言我不犯罪亦何所裨、較犯罪有何所益、爾以為此言合乎理乎、

“ Do you think this is just? You say,‘ I am in the right, not God.’

“ Job, do you think it’s fair for you to say,‘ I am the one who is right, not God’?

“ Do you think this to be just? Do you say,‘ It is my right before God,’

“ Do you think it is right for you to claim,‘ I am righteous before God’?

Do you think it is just when you say,“ I am righteous before God”?

“ Do you think this is in accordance with justice? Do you say,‘ My righteousness is more than God’s’?

“ Do you think this is right? Do you say,‘ My righteousness is more than God’s’?

Thinkest thou this to be thy right, Or sayest thou, My righteousness is more than God’s,

Do you think it is just when you say,“ I am righteous before God”?

Thinkest thou this to be right,[ that] thou saidst, My righteousness[ is] more than God’s?

“ Do you think this to be just: when you say,‘ My right before God.’

“ Do you think this to be your right, or do you say,‘ My righteousness is more than God’s,’

But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken.For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” (niv)

He would crush me with a storm and multiply my wounds for no reason. (niv)

then know that God has wronged me and drawn his net around me.“ Though I cry,‘ Violence!’ I get no response; though I call for help, there is no justice. (niv)

“ Would you discredit my justice? Would you condemn me to justify yourself? (niv)

yet my hands have been free of violence and my prayer is pure. (niv)

“ His master replied,‘ I will judge you by your own words, you wicked servant! You knew, did you, that I am a hard man, taking out what I did not put in, and reaping what I did not sow? (niv)

though you know that I am not guilty and that no one can rescue me from your hand? (niv)

“ As surely as God lives, who has denied me justice, the Almighty, who has made my life bitter,as long as I have life within me, the breath of God in my nostrils,my lips will not say anything wicked, and my tongue will not utter lies.I will never admit you are in the right; till I die, I will not deny my integrity.I will maintain my innocence and never let go of it; my conscience will not reproach me as long as I live. “ Job says,‘ I am innocent, but God denies me justice. (niv)
