爾曾入於海泉乎、爾曾行於深淵乎、

海之泉源、爾豈能窮、淵之深處、爾豈能及。

爾曾至海之泉源乎、曾行淵之深處乎、

“ Have you journeyed to the springs of the sea or walked in the recesses of the deep?

“ Have you entered into the springs of the sea, or walked in the recesses of the deep?

Thy way[ is] in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps are not known.

When[ there were] no depths, I was brought forth; when[ there were] no fountains abounding with water.

Dead[ things] are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof.Hell[ is] naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will plead thy cause, and take vengeance for thee; and I will dry up her sea, and make her springs dry.
