to water a land where no one lives, an uninhabited desert,

They bring water to places where no one lives. They water deserts that do not have anyone in them.

Who makes the rain fall on barren land, in a desert where no one lives?

As for his people, he turned a desert into a pool of water, and a dry land into springs of water.

He covers the sky with clouds, provides the earth with rain, and causes grass to grow on the hillsides.He gives food to the animals, and to the young ravens when they chirp.

I will make streams flow down the slopes and produce springs in the middle of the valleys. I will turn the desert into a pool of water and the arid land into springs.I will make cedars, acacias, myrtles, and olive trees grow in the wilderness; I will make evergreens, firs, and cypresses grow together in the desert.
