“ There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. (niv)

“ In that day,” declares the Sovereign Lord,“ I will make the sun go down at noon and darken the earth in broad daylight. (niv)

When I snuff you out, I will cover the heavens and darken their stars; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon will not give its light.All the shining lights in the heavens I will darken over you; I will bring darkness over your land, declares the Sovereign Lord. (niv)

“ What is the way to the abode of light? And where does darkness reside?Can you take them to their places? Do you know the paths to their dwellings? (niv)
