他們必為你放聲痛哭，撒塵土於頭上，在灰中打滾；又為你使頭光禿，用麻布束腰，號咷痛哭，痛苦至極。

約伯就坐在灰燼中，拿瓦片刮身體。

你要對君王和太后說：「你們當自卑，坐下；因你們的王冠，就是你們華美的冠冕已經掉落了。」

卑微的弟兄要因高升而誇耀，富足的卻要因被降卑而誇耀，因為富足的人要消逝，如同草上的花一樣。

我面向主神，禁食，披麻蒙灰，懇切禱告祈求。

「哥拉汛哪，你有禍了！伯賽大啊，你有禍了！因為在你們中間所行的異能，若行在推羅、西頓，他們早已披麻蒙灰，坐在地上悔改了。

我的百姓啊，應當腰束麻布，滾在灰中。要悲傷，如喪獨子般痛痛哭號，因為滅命的忽然臨到我們。

因此我撤回，在塵土和爐灰中懊悔。」

不要在迦特宣揚這事，千萬不要哭泣；卻要在伯‧亞弗拉翻滾於灰塵中。

現在，君王啊，應當謹慎！世上的審判官哪，要聽勸戒！當存敬畏的心事奉耶和華，又當戰兢而快樂。當親吻兒子，免得他發怒，你們就在半途中滅亡，因為他的怒氣快要發作。凡投靠他的，都是有福的。

讓他臉伏於地吧！或者還會有指望。
