列國為甚麼爭鬧？萬民為甚麼圖謀虛妄？世上的君王都站穩，臣宰一同算計，要對抗耶和華，對抗他的受膏者：「我們要掙脫他們的捆綁，脫去他們的繩索。」那坐在天上的必譏笑，主必嗤笑他們。那時，他要在怒中責備他們，在烈怒中驚嚇他們：「我已經在錫安－我的聖山膏立了我的君王。」

起來，這是你當辦的事，我們必支持你，你當奮勇而行。」

你們總要謹慎，不可拒絕那向你們說話的，因為那些拒絕了在地上警戒他們的，尚且不能逃罪，何況我們違背那從天上警戒我們的呢？

我豈沒有吩咐你嗎？你當剛強壯膽，不要懼怕，也不要驚惶，因為你無論往哪裏去，耶和華你的神必與你同在。」

任何人干犯摩西的律法，憑兩個或三個證人，尚且必須處死，不得寬赦，更何況踐踏神兒子的人，他們將那使他成聖之約的血當作不潔淨，又褻慢施恩的聖靈的人，你們想，他不該受更嚴厲的懲罰嗎？

至於我那些仇敵，不要我作他們王的，把他們拉來，在我面前殺了！』」

最後，你們要靠着主，依賴他的大能大力作剛強的人。

若有人擅自行事，不聽從那侍立在耶和華－你神那裏事奉的祭司，或不聽從審判官，那人就要處死。這樣，你就把惡從以色列中除掉。

你們要警醒，在信仰上要站穩，要勇敢，要剛強。

在上有權柄的，人人要順服，因為沒有權柄不是來自神的。掌權的都是神所立的。所以，抗拒掌權的就是抗拒神所立的；抗拒的人必自招審判。作官的原不是要使行善的懼怕，而是要使作惡的懼怕。你願意不懼怕掌權的嗎？只要行善，你就可得他的稱讚；因為他是神的用人，是與你有益的。你若作惡，就該懼怕，因為他不是徒然佩劍；他是神的用人，為神的憤怒，報應作惡的。所以，你們必須順服，不但是因神的憤怒，也是因着良心。

百姓對撒母耳說：「那說『掃羅豈能作我們的王』的是誰呢？把他們交出來，我們好處死他們。」
