Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates— all the Hittite country— to the Mediterranean Sea in the west.

Your territory will reach from the Negev Desert all the way to Lebanon. The great Euphrates River will be to the east. The Mediterranean Sea will be to the west. Your territory will include all the Hittite country.

From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun shall be your territory.

This will be your boundary on the north.“‘ For your eastern boundary, run a line from Hazar Enan to Shepham.The boundary will go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain and continue along the slopes east of the Sea of Galilee.Then the boundary will go down along the Jordan and end at the Dead Sea.“‘ This will be your land, with its boundaries on every side.’”Moses commanded the Israelites:“ Assign this land by lot as an inheritance. Every place where you set your foot will be yours: Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the Euphrates River to the Mediterranean Sea. (niv)

To the east they occupied the land up to the edge of the desert that extends to the Euphrates River, because their livestock had increased in Gilead. (niv)

Moreover, David defeated Hadadezer king of Zobah, in the vicinity of Hamath, when he went to set up his monument at the Euphrates River. (niv)
