Then it curved westward from Baalah to Mount Seir, ran along the northern slope of Mount Jearim( that is, Kesalon), continued down to Beth Shemesh and crossed to Timnah.

Then it curved west from Kiriath Jearim to Mount Seir. It ran along the north slope of Mount Kesalon. It continued down to Beth Shemesh and crossed over to Timnah.

And the boundary circles west of Baalah to Mount Seir, passes along to the northern shoulder of Mount Jearim( that is, Chesalon), and goes down to Beth-shemesh and passes along by Timnah.

and the border turned about from Baalah westward unto mount Seir, and passed along unto the side of mount Jearim on the north( the same is Chesalon), and went down to Beth- shemesh, and passed along by Timnah;

許多日子之後，猶大的妻子，書亞的女兒死了。猶大從哀悼中出來，就和他的朋友亞杜蘭人希拉上亭拿去，到他的剪羊毛人那裡。有人告訴塔瑪爾說：「看哪，你的公公要上亭拿去剪羊毛。」

母牛在通往伯示麥的路上直行，走在大道上，邊走邊叫，不偏離左右。非利士的首領們跟在牠們後面，直到伯示麥的邊界。伯示麥人正在平原收割小麥，他們舉目看見約櫃，就歡喜觀望。牛車來到伯示麥人約書亞的田間，就在那裡停住，那裡有一塊大石頭。伯示麥人劈開牛車的木料，然後把母牛作為燔祭獻給耶和華。利未人把耶和華的約櫃，以及它旁邊裝著金器的盒子卸下來，放在那塊大石頭上。伯示麥人當天向耶和華獻上燔祭，又獻上其他祭物。非利士的五個首領看到這些，當天就返回了以革倫。非利士人帶給耶和華作賠罪禮物的這些金腫物，一個是為阿實突，一個是為加沙，一個是為阿實基倫，一個是為迦特，一個是為以革倫。金老鼠是按著五個首領所管轄的非利士城市的總數，城市包括堅固城和無城牆的鄉鎮。至於那塊放置耶和華約櫃的大石頭，直到今天還在伯示麥人約書亞的田地裡。耶和華擊殺伯示麥人，因為他們擅自看了耶和華的約櫃裡面；他擊殺了民眾五萬零七十個人。耶和華大大擊殺民眾，民眾就悲慟。伯示麥人說：「誰能在這位聖潔的神耶和華面前站立得住呢？應該請他離開我們上誰那裡去呢？」於是他們派遣使者到基列-耶琳的居民那裡，說：「非利士人把耶和華的約櫃送回來了。你們下來，把它帶到你們那裡去吧。」
