耶布士人處於耶路撒冷、不為便雅憫族所逐、故得與之偕居、至於今日。○

猶大族攻耶路撒冷而取其地、擊之以刃、燬之以火、

王率眾、至耶路撒冷、攻斯土之民、耶布士人、耶布士人意大闢不能入其邑、故告大闢曰、如跛者瞽者、爾不能勝、要難入此。大闢取郇險要之所、更其邑名、以己名稱之。時大闢曰、凡入暗竇、擊耶布士人、及我所惡之跛者瞽者、則可為軍長、蓋敵有言跛者瞽者尚存、則不得入室。大闢扼居險要、稱大闢之邑、四周築垣、在米羅之內。

大闢率以色列族眾、至耶路撒冷、耶布士人所居之邑。耶布士人告大闢曰、爾不得入此、郇邑險要、大闢陷之、故以己名稱其邑曰、大闢。大闢曰、先擊耶布士人者、可為軍長、西魯雅子約押先往、而為軍長。大闢扼居險要、邑名大闢。自米羅至四周築垣、其餘為約押修葺。

我儕知法本乎聖神、我乃狥欲、自鬻於惡、我所為者、我不取也、我所好者不行之、我所惡者斯行之、乃我行吾所不樂行、則證法為善、其行之也、非我行之、乃我中之惡行之、亦知我情欲中無懿德、因好之者雖在前、而行其善者不得也、故不行所好之善、而行所不好之惡、非我行所不好、行之者、乃我中之惡、我覺其情、即樂於為善時、每有惡在前、
