Yet the Manassites were not able to occupy these towns, for the Canaanites were determined to live in that region.

But the people of Manasseh weren’t able to take over those towns. That’s because the Canaanites had made up their minds to live in that area.

And they did not drive out the Canaanites who dwelt in Gezer; but the Canaanites dwell among the Ephraimites to this day and have become forced laborers.

Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts.And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
