but the forested hill country as well. Clear it, and its farthest limits will be yours; though the Canaanites have chariots fitted with iron and though they are strong, you can drive them out.”

You will also have the central hill country. It’s covered with trees. Cut them down and clear the land. That whole land from one end to the other will belong to you. The Canaanites use chariots that have iron parts. And those people are strong. But you can drive them out.”

but the hill country shall be yours, for though it is a forest, you shall clear it and possess it to its farthest borders. For you shall drive out the Canaanites, though they have chariots of iron, and though they are strong.”

The forests of the hill country will be yours as well. Clear as much of the land as you wish, and take possession of its farthest corners. And you will drive out the Canaanites from the valleys, too, even though they are strong and have iron chariots.”

既是这样，我们对这些事还要怎么说呢？上帝若帮助我们，谁能抵挡我们呢？

所以，我们可以勇敢地说：“主是我的帮助，我必不惧怕。人能把我怎么样呢？”

然而，靠着爱我们的主，在这一切的事上，我们已经得胜有余了。

窥探那地的人中，嫩的儿子约书亚和耶孚尼的儿子迦勒撕裂衣服，对以色列全会众说：“我们所走过、所窥探之地是极美之地。耶和华若喜爱我们，就必领我们进入那地，把这流奶与蜜之地赐给我们。但你们不可背叛耶和华，也不要怕那地的百姓，因为他们是我们的食物。保护他们的已经离开他们，耶和华却与我们同在。不要怕他们！”

“你出去与仇敌作战，若看见马匹、战车，以及比你更多的士兵，不要怕他们，因为领你出埃及地的耶和华—你的上帝与你同在。你们将要上阵的时候，祭司要来，向士兵宣告，对他们说：‘以色列啊，要听！你们今日将要与仇敌作战，不要心惊胆战，不要惧怕战兢，也不要因他们惊慌，因为与你们同去的是耶和华—你们的上帝，他要为你们与仇敌作战，拯救你们。’

耶和华是我的亮光，是我的拯救，我还怕谁呢？耶和华是我生命的保障，我还惧谁呢？那作恶的就是我的仇敌，前来吃我肉的时候就绊跌仆倒。

于是，以色列人划分拿弗他利山区加利利的基低斯、以法莲山区的示剑和犹大山区的基列‧亚巴，基列‧亚巴就是希伯仑。

你不要害怕，因为我与你同在；不要惊惶，因为我是你的上帝。我必坚固你，帮助你，用我公义的右手扶持你。看哪，凡向你发怒的都抱愧蒙羞，与你相争的必如无有，并要灭亡。与你争斗的，你要寻找他们，却遍寻不着；与你争战的必如无有，成为虚无。因为我耶和华—你的上帝必搀扶你的右手，对你说：“不要害怕！我必帮助你。”虫子雅各，以色列人哪，不要害怕！我必帮助你；救赎你的是以色列的圣者。这是耶和华说的。看哪，我使你成为全新的打谷机，齿轮锐利；你要把山岭打得粉碎，使冈陵如同糠秕。你要簸扬它们，风要将它们吹去；旋风要刮散它们。你却要以耶和华为喜乐，因以色列的圣者夸耀。

他们和他们的众军都出来，一大队人马，多如海边的沙，并有极多的战车战马。众王组成联军，来到米伦水边一同安营，要与以色列作战。耶和华对约书亚说：“你不要怕他们。明日这时，我必把他们全部交给以色列人杀灭。你要砍断他们马的蹄筋，用火焚烧他们的战车。”

这地界又从山顶延伸到尼弗多亚水泉，通到以弗仑山的城镇，这地界又延伸到巴拉，巴拉就是基列‧耶琳。

约书亚对他们说：“如果你百姓众多，而以法莲山区太窄小，那么你可以上比利洗人和利乏音人之地的树林中，在那里开垦。”约瑟的子孙说：“那山区容不下我们，而且住平原的迦南人，就是住伯‧善和所属的乡镇，以及住在耶斯列平原的人，都有铁的战车。”

从黎巴嫩直到米斯利弗‧玛音，一切山区的居民，就是所有的西顿人，我必在以色列人面前赶走他们。你只管照我所吩咐的，抽签将这地分给以色列人为业。

我，惟有我是安慰你们的。你是谁，竟怕那必死的人，怕那生命如草的世人，却忘记铺张诸天、立定地基、造你的耶和华？你因欺压者图谋毁灭所发的暴怒，终日害怕，其实那欺压者的暴怒在哪里呢？
