王權必不離猶大，御杖必伴他左右，直到那位執掌王權的來到，萬民都必歸順他。

我父的家裡有許多住處，不然我就不會說去為你們安排地方了。我安排好了以後，必定回來接你們到我那裡。我在哪裡，讓你們也在哪裡。

如果當初約書亞已經讓他們得到了安息，上帝就不必另定一個日子了。這樣說來，必定另有一個安息日為上帝的子民存留，使他們可以真正安歇。

「『你們去我曾選為我名所在之地的示羅，看看我是怎樣因我以色列子民的罪而懲罰那地方的。我對你們的所作所為一再提出警告，你們卻充耳不聞；我呼喚你們，你們卻不回應。這是耶和華說的。因此，我要像對付示羅一樣對付你們所倚靠的這用來敬拜我的殿，對付我賜給你們和你們祖先的土地。

祂離棄了設在示羅的聖幕，就是祂在人間的居所。

以利加拿每年都從家鄉到示羅去敬拜萬軍之耶和華，獻上祭物。當時以利的兩個兒子何弗尼和非尼哈在那裡做耶和華的祭司。

因為你把管理世人的權柄賜給了祂，使祂可以將永生賜予你交託給祂的人。

有人想起在示羅每年都有耶和華的節期。示羅在利波拿以南、伯特利以北至示劍的大路東面。

那時，王會對右邊的人說，『我父所賜福的人啊，來承受創世以來為你們預備的國度吧。

耶穌對他們說：「我要喝的那一杯，你們也要喝。不過誰坐在我的左右不是我來定，而是我父為誰預備的，就讓誰坐。」
