So the king of Jericho sent this message to Rahab:“ Bring out the men who came to you and entered your house, because they have come to spy out the whole land.”

So the king sent a message to Rahab. It said,“ Bring out the men who came into your house. They’ve come to check out the whole land.”

Then the king of Jericho sent to Rahab, saying,“ Bring out the men who have come to you, who entered your house, for they have come to search out all the land.”

So the king of Jericho sent orders to Rahab:“ Bring out the men who have come into your house, for they have come here to spy out the whole land.”

Then the king of Jericho sent word to Rahab and said,“ Bring out the men who came to you and entered your house, for they came to investigate the entire land.”

And the king of Jericho sent word to Rahab, saying,“ Bring out the men who have come to you, who have entered your house, for they have come to spy out all the land.”

And the king of Jericho sent unto Rahab, saying, Bring forth the men that are come to thee, that are entered into thy house; for they are come to search out all the land.

大約過了三個月，有人告訴猶大說：「你的媳婦她瑪行淫，並且，看哪，她因行淫而懷了孕。」猶大說：「拉她出來，把她燒了！」

眾人就這樣做，把那五個王，就是耶路撒冷王、希伯崙王、耶末王、拉吉王和伊磯倫王，從洞裏帶出來，到約書亞那裏。

亞捫人的領袖對他們的主哈嫩說：「大衛派人來安慰你，你看他是要尊敬你父親嗎？大衛派臣僕到你這裏，不是為了要窺探偵察，而傾覆這城嗎？」

約瑟想起從前所做的那兩個夢，就對他們說：「你們是奸細，你們來是要窺探這地的虛實。」他們對他說：「我主啊，不是的，僕人們是來買糧的。我們都是同一個人的兒子，我們是誠實的人。僕人們並不是奸細。」約瑟對他們說：「不，你們一定是窺探這地的虛實來的。」

就是惡人在患難的日子得存留，在憤怒的日子得逃脫。

希律捉了彼得，押在監裏，交給四班士兵看守，每班四個人，企圖要在逾越節後把他提出來，當着百姓辦他。

「把那詛咒的人帶到營外。凡聽見的人都要把手放在他頭上，全會眾要用石頭打死他。

我們對他說：『我們是誠實的人，並不是奸細。

但亞捫人的領袖對哈嫩說：「大衛派人來安慰你，你看他是要尊敬你父親嗎？他的臣僕來見你，不是為了要窺探偵察，而傾覆這地嗎？」

彼拉多又出來對眾人說：「看，我帶他出來見你們，讓你們知道我查不出他有甚麼罪狀。」

希律將要提他出來的前一夜，彼得被兩條鐵鏈鎖着，睡在兩個士兵當中；門前還有警衛看守。
