And they said to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan,“ The Lord commanded through Moses that we be given cities to dwell in, along with their pasturelands for our livestock.”

『你要吩咐以色列人從所得為產業的地之中、把城市給利未人居住，也把城市四圍的牧場給利未人。城市要給他們居住，城外的牧場可以供應他們的牲口、跟活財物、和各樣動物。你們給利未人的城外牧場要從城牆根起、四圍往外量一千肘。要往城外量：東面二千肘，南面二千肘，西面二千肘，北面二千肘；城在當中；這要給他們做城外牧場。你們給利未人的城、其中要有六座逃罪城，讓殺人的可以逃到那裏；此外還要給他們四十二座城。你們要給利未人的城、共有四十八座，連城帶牧場、都要給他們。從以色列人的地業中、你們所要給的城、人多的支派要多給，人少的支派要少給：各支派要按所承受的產業、把城給利未人。』

路上不要帶口袋，不要帶兩件褂子，不要帶鞋，或帶手杖；因為工人是配得其食物的。

在真道上受教的要讓施教的人在一切美好的事物上一同分享。

善於督導的長老、尤其是在道上和教導上勞苦的人、應當被看為配受加倍敬奉的。因為經上說：「牛踹穀時、你別籠住牠的嘴」；又說：「工人得工錢是應當的。」

你們所劃出獻與永恆主的特別區要長二萬五千肘，寬二萬肘。這聖特別區要歸與這些做祭司的人，北邊二萬五千肘，西邊寬一萬肘，東邊寬一萬肘，南邊長二萬五千肘；永恆主的聖地必須在那當中。這地要歸與撒督子孫中受聖職的祭司，就是那些守盡我所吩咐的職守的；就是當以色列人走迷了路時候、那些沒有走迷了路的；他們不像利未人走迷了。這要歸與他們做國土內特別區中之特別區，是至聖的；挨着利未人的地界。歸與利未人、挨着祭司地界並排着的、長要二萬五千肘，寬要一萬肘；全長要二萬五千肘，寬二萬肘。任何部分他們都不可賣，不可交換，也不可將這地的上好部分轉讓給別人，因為是歸永恆主為聖的。『剩下之地、五千肘寬、二萬五千肘長、要作俗用，作為造城蓋房子修牧場之用；城必須在那當中。以下是城的尺寸；北面四千五百肘，南面四千五百肘，東面四千五百肘，西面四千五百肘。城要有郊野牧場；向北二百五十肘，向南二百五十肘，向東二百五十肘，向西二百五十肘，剩下之地、論長、挨着聖特別區並排着的、東面一萬肘，西面一萬肘、也挨着聖特別區並排着。它所出產的要給城裏作工的人做食物。
